Who: Amy, Amy's mom, Saretha
What: Violence in the streets
Where: The Dylandy Bar, Locke City
WWhen: Mid-morning, the 14th
Caitlin Dylandy had buried a husband and a son, but had held on despite it all. After everything she and her husband at put into building a life together, raising a family, and taking over a family business, she wasn't the kind of woman who backed down in the face of adversity. Things were tough, but she knew she'd dishonor everything her family had worked for if she gave in.
She'd persevered; luckily, she was one of the few establishments in the city who'd been able to resist being coerced into paying protection, but that was down to luck. Luck that ran out one Sunday morning, when she'd been late to opening up the bar. They didn't open till later on Sundays, so Caitlin had felt justified in sleeping in.
Thus, she'd missed out on things like breaking news reports. And frantic phone calls from her daughter.
She'd finally come down to the bar from the living area above it, when she began to hear shouting and other loud noises coming from the streets outside. Before she could check on things, though, of all things a mailbox smashed through the front window of the bar. Caitlin let out a scream, just before looters smashed their way in from the front.
It seems bad luck had finally caught up to the Dylandy bar.

When Amy Dylandy had not been able to reach her mother, Saretha had apparently been next on the list.
All things told, she'd had a very bad week, and just about anything crossing anyone she knows is just asking for trouble. Especially in a situation that is clearly a matter of either self-defense or the defense of others.
She slams the sheathed blade into the ground in front of her, lifting her head high. "Should you insolent pigs value your well being, you have ten seconds to begin fleeing!"
Simple, to the point.

"A-Amy!" she exclaimed, gazing out through the window. "What's going on?! Is that Saretha?!" Caitlin knew her daughter's boss was numbered, but she'd never seen her fighting in person.
Amy grit her teeth. "That's not important right now, mom!" she exclaimed. "Everything is nuts, we need to get you out of here!"
Meanwhile, the rioters picked themselves up, groaning and... screaming at the fact that Saretha's vacuum attack had cut them fairly severely. One of them holding a chain stumbled to their feet, growling at Saretha.
"You bitch!" he roared, charging Saretha and swinging his weapon at her.

She spits the word out, and easily side steps the swing of the chain. Her incredible physical prowess kicks in as she moves swiftly, ending up behind the man. Without even looking at him, she swings the sheathed blade at the back of his neck.

Clearly not taking their friend's example to heart, one of the man's accomplices, a bald woman carrying a crobar, charged Saretha, driving the weapon at her midsection.
Amy, meanwhile, was hurrying her mother to said vehicle. "Amy! We can't just leave!" she exclaimed. "The bar...!"
"The bar can be repaired," Amy interrupted, as she opened the door for Caitlin. "You can't!"
Caitlin gave Amy a shocked stare... before nodding and getting in. Amy, meanwhile, turned to Saretha and kicked the thug off of the hood of the vehicle.
"Mom's safe!" she cried. "We're good to go!"

"No, we are not. Run, and they will believe they can do however they please."

... when one of the rioters attempted to sneak up behind her. Amy's mother let out a scream from the backseat... which alerted Amy, caused her to spin around, grab the man's wrist, drive a knee into his midsection, and slam his face into the hood of the car.
Between her two brothers and working for Saretha, self defense classes had been a thing the last few months. She wasn't incredibly good, but this was just some thug.
"Y-yeah," Amy said, almost stunned at what she'd pulled off. "Do what you want..."
The woman, meanwhile, went recoiling back as the sheath slammed up into her chin, the crowbar going flying from her hands and she fell flat on her back.

"Do the rest of you pigs have anything more to add to these proceedings?"

Amy wasn't content to run. She was already sending a call to the police, describing the people she'd seen, and the ones that were now currently passed out. This would be just one of many claims, but Amy was vindictive right now, along with the fact that taking one of these idiots out had given her a rush of adrenaline.

"I hope you are quite alright, Mrs. Dylandy."
no subject
"Y-Yes," she replied. "I'm alright. It's just... ah, this is a fine thing to wake up to... But I suppose this has to do with that awful man who was killed..."
Caitlin looked to the side, towards her daughter. "I'm also surprised to see Amy capable of something like that..."

Then, she gives a sharp smirk. "It helps to make sure your employees can take care of themselves sometimes... but I believe her brother may have had something to do with that, as well."

No sooner than her mother finished talking did Amy walk up, looking relieved. "I called the police," she said with a sigh. "For whatever good that will do. Is there anything left to take care of here?"
