open log for sad pathetic orphaned teens

Who: Danny and YOU!
When: October 22nd to 25th, roughly?
Where: Locke City University Hospital
What: Danny's just survived a mafia attack. His family....not so much.
Warnings: uhhh, more angst than I typically go for?

[Most of Danny's time since the attack has been spent in one of three ways: trying really hard not to completely freak out, numbly staring into the distance, and sleeping. The latter hasn't been going so well, though, because of nightmares, so he's mostly down to trying not to freak out (with very little success), and feeling too blank to freak out.

It's not a great way to exist, but he can't think of anything else to do in this hospital bed. He could connect to the network but...he's kind of scared to. He doesn't know what he'll find on there, and he isn't sure he wants to find out.

But as far as staring at a blank white wall and choking back tears goes, this isn't so bad.]

But -- you weren't moving...

[ He may have augmented strength, but it's hard to deal with the flailing in his condition. Picking Danny up was a bad idea for several reasons.

He sets Danny down near the door and backs up. ]

I'm... sorry. I just -- you always carry me, so I thought I'd return the favor. For once.

Okay...

[ After a moment of hesitation, he does lead the way. And, thankfully, they are not stopped by any staff members. The lighting in the halls is crazy bright, but when they get to the cafeteria, things are a bit better.

The food still sucks. Once they get their trays, he finds them a place to sit. Even though this was his idea, he's just kind of pushing his food around. ]

I know this isn't incredibly exciting, but... it's something, right? Better than the room?
