[Liam's looking rather excited and shocked today when he turns on the laptop in his hotel room. It's apparent that he wants to look at the camera to speak to the network, but he's also unable to take his eyes off of whatever it outside the window to the side... which in this case is everything.]

Guys, guys... you will not believe this! I can see like... forever!

[Julien grimaces.] I've already been taking your clothes. I don't... Isabela buys groceries since I've been living with her. So it's an exchange - like she's my sugar mama. [He may blush a little saying that.] I can't just... there's not realistically a way I can repay anyone.

[arrowpoint]

'Sugar mama?'

[The thought of Isabela as anybody's sugar mama has Liam uncomfortable with that portion of the conversation.]

Look, if you feel bad about taking money so you can, you know - live - then what if I hire you for something? Don't be a dork and not take care of yourself.

[...Like Liam should talk, but, whatever.]

Well, she's not my girlfriend, but it looks like it, and I do a lot of the cooking anyway...

[Julien steps out of view.]

It's not like - I hate having to depend on people like this, where it's not going to go away, or get better. I don't want to be a pet. I had jobs, I had a life!

[arrowpoint]

[Liam sees the fuzzy blob that is Julien on his screen move out of the picture - or at least he thinks he does - so he focuses outside the window instead.]

Dude, nobody said you were a pet or didn't have a life. You're alive, right? Maybe you can't have your old job but you can get another one.

[espigeonage]

[Not meaning for it to be heard, Julien says something incoherent and muffled and around the lines of "I don't wanna-" before he speaks up.]


I know. I know. [He sighs.] What... would you want me to do.

[arrowpoint]

[With Liam's new hearing, he picks up on that mumbled line, but he's not going to call him on it. Liam didn't want to work either, but that was part of the parental deal for living on his own.]

Umm....

[Long pause. Liam hadn't actually thought this through.]

I don't know yet. But I'll think of something.

[espigeonage]

[Julien snorts. To sharper ears his voice is probably a bit odd in general; he doesn't make it in at all the way a human does, though he's gone to a lot of effort to make it sound right to most ears.]

Right. You let me know.

[arrowpoint]

[For some reason, he's a bit annoyed and it shows in his voice.]

Fine. I will.

[He shuts off the computer... or at least he squints at the screen for a while hitting random buttons until the video shuts off.]
