After a week cooped up inside at work, it was always nice to go out for a walk. Even having to wait for Siiri to finish work hadn't been much to dampen her spirits - not that waiting somewhere with excellent coffee was ever a bad thing. Besides, they'd missed the heat of the day this way, and it was too late for the young children but too early for the drunken louts, so it had just been a pleasant walk where they'd had the park to themselves and a few other dog walkers and occasional jogger.
At the top of the park was a pond, and Åsa stopped in the middle of the bridge over it, leaning on the fence. From there you could look over some of the city, the sunset behind it lighting it up. "It's really pretty at this time of day, isn't it?" She smiles back at Siiri, open and bright as ever.

As it is, she just nods, and tries to smile back at Åsa. It's... not quite visible, but the attempt was there. She's also very clearly not looking at the view but at the other woman.
...And not stepping any closer. Floweregg would sigh if puppies did that. Instead, she remembers that movie that Killian showed them and then tried to judge the distance between the two women and how long her leash is. Hm....

But Åsa's still trying to work out what to make of that. She wants to pull Siiri closer so she can curl in against her and watch the sunset with the comfort of her friend's closeness, but she's too worried that Siiri won't like it. She still greets and leaves Siiri with a hug, but aside from that she's tried to limit her contact, even though all she really wants is more. That's just selfish though, isn't it?
Holding back a little sigh, she straightens up and turns back to Siiri, wishing she could offer her hand to her so they could walk hand in hand. If she'd been any of her friends from home she would have, but with Siiri it's so hard to tell what she can and can't do, what boundaries she must respect. Instead she just carries on smiling, taking a step closer so they can carry on walking and she's not holding them back any more. "Sometimes I think it'd be nice to have one of the posh flats over there so you could look out over the park!" She says, pointing towards the flats behind them that look out the way that she'd just been looking. "But I bet they're really expensive. Mind you, they're probably really nice inside too!"

Clearly their puppy needs to help them out here. At least Åsa seems to have had a good thought and stepped closer... clearly that means that she wants to hug Siiri too, with how she looks at her. And kiss her. Because a blind and dumb person could see that, and Floweregg is neither.
Luckily, the line is in place... so she starts to slowly walk a circle around the two, making sure that they won't be alerted to her work before it is ready.
In the meanwhile, Siiri finally manages to tear her eyes of Åsa, though she barely sees the flats that the other woman points out, her thoughts racing too fast around other topics - can she take Åsa's hand? Maybe an arm around her waist? Won't that be too forward? ...Offer her her arm? Maybe offering her arm would be a good thing in the middle, that is an innocent gesture, right?

She laughs, looking away from Siiri and the flats and taking a step forward. "I suppose really if I did come into money what I should do would be to go home - home to Sweden - and start a company there, but... It'd be nice to be close to my family, but I wouldn't want to give up on work. And especially not on the network. I know there's not much that I can do, but I still want to do my best to try!" And Siiri. She wouldn't want to leave Siiri. But she can't say that can she?

And unless the other woman manages to stop her fall, they'll tip right over the low fence with the force of her fall.

As they fall she does reach out with her other hand and her fingers slam into the edge of the bridge, but it's not enough to get a grip, though at least she knows that she's not going to hit the railing now. Of course what it does mean is that they hit the bank, Åsa releasing a shocked, pained gasp as they hit the ground. But it doesn't stop there - the ground is too steep and their momentum too great. She releases her grip on Siiri too late; their combined weight has already dumped her in the thankfully shallow edge of the lake. Too shallow to submurse her, but plenty deep enough to soak her.
As she sits up she's spitting curses, dripping off her like the water as she stares at Siiri, too shocked to get herself together. What the hell just happened?

But as it is, she can't think about any of that. Instead, she pulls herself up, ignoring the pain shooting through her shoulder or the low thrumming in her hip, and scoots over, her hands pushing some strands of wet hair out of Åsa's face and then, gently but precise, running over her, checking for anomalies. She's done this with dogs and goats and other animals before, even with reindeer, and while a human is different, there is still some experience in her hands. Her eyes flit back towards Åsa's face every few seconds, checking her expression to see if some place is worse off than her hands can tell.
Meanwhile, Floweregg has (luckily) been catapulted over the fence as well without much injury (maybe more than a ormal dog could endure, but her body is just a bit sturdier now...), and now peddles through the murky waters towards the two women, out of breath from how it knocked the air out of her to be thrown like that. This did not go according to plan, at all.
no subject
Well, not exactly. She's going to have some impressive bruises and be sore for a little while, but she's had worse. "Are you?" She adds, worriedly, looking for any sign of pain in her friend's face. Rather than pushing Siiri's hands away completely, she ends up taking them in her own, re-establishing the contact between them, at least for a moment. When movement draws her attention to Floweregg she turns her attention to her.
"And you! Are you all right?" She asks the puppy, reaching out to pull her onto her lap so she's no longer out of her depth. Her skirt is already a mess, a bit more mud from the pup won't do any more damage.
no subject
She will only reluctantly let go of the other woman's hands, but yield them when she realizes that Åsa is moving to pick up Floweregg. "I'm fine." And the way in which she is moving rather stiffly might betray that that is a lie.
Floweregg, in the meanwhile, climbs in Åsa's lap and hides against her, shaking from the shock of being thrown and whimpering softly - she's only half a year old, and all of this was just a bit too much. Now that she's safely in Åsa's lap, she's basically doing the equivalent of crying and clinging to her mum.
no subject
After a moment or two she looks up at Siiri and smiles at her. "We should get her home." At least it's not cold so they don't have to worry about that, but it's still not a good idea to sit in a muddy lake all afternoon.
no subject
"You and me too." A shower, clean clothes, and a place to sit down after the shock. She'll also want to check over Åsa in a calmer and more private situation because she really doesn't believe her not having gotten hurt at all.
no subject
"Your flat? It's closer, and then we can settle Floweregg down properly." She suggests, keeping her tone light for Floweregg's sake as much as anything else. If she can act calm, perhaps it'll rub off on the puppy, show her that everything's (mostly) all right.
no subject
And the hand is taken with relief, though she can't read the intent behind it - at least it means that Åsa doesn't mind her too much right now, because the touch isn't strictly necessary, so it must carry some meaning.
She'll keep her fingers firmly wrapped around Åsa's all the way, and even up the stairs and into her apartment, because she has a free hand for the keys and... and really, if she lets go, who knows if it would be okay to renew the contact?
Floweregg calms down on the way, still pressing against Åsa's chest and shaken, but the whimpering dies down and she only stays with her head buried into the woman's shirt.

She has to release Siiri's hand in the hallway to take her shoes off, and then try and peel her socks off one handedly, not wanting to track any more mud in then they already have. At least her skirt seems to have stopped dripping, although she realises that she might have to borrow something to wear or she'll be spending the rest of the afternoon awkwardly trying not to touch anything. Like now as she tries not to lean against the wall as she balances to remove her socks, but with Floweregg in one and and the other reaching down she has nothing to support herself and she sways dangerously, before giving up and putting her foot down - at least until Siiri has her own shoes and socks off. "Can you take Floweregg for a moment?" She asks, although she won't actually pull the puppy away from her chest until Siiri's ready to take her. Let her stay snuggled up as long as possible.
no subject
"I'll wash her."
And then once she washed her she'll shower real quick, and then Åsa can use the shower while Siiri searches for clothes that might fit her. But Floweregg first, before she can get dirt everywhere. Not that she seems to be much inclined to run around right now, still way too quiet and pressing against her chest as much as she can - Siiri will have to check her over for injuries once they're clean. Maybe take her to a vet if this continues. But then... she really needs to find a vet that will know how to deal with a numbered dog.
But for now, she carries the puppy over to the bathroom and one-handedly gets the showerhead down, and then sits down on the side of the tub - her clothes are wet anyway, she can keep the dog on her knees while washing her (because for once, it seems like Floweregg won't be hard to keep still).
no subject
Returning to the bathroom with it, she sets it down for when Floweregg's dry, and turns to get an older towel out for her. She's comfortable in Siiri's flat at least, even if she's still awkward with Siiri. "Feeling better?" She asks as she comes over to them, leaning over to rub behind Floweregg's ear as she smiles at her reassuringly.
no subject
But no, she'll concentrate on Floweregg, and softly speak with her. But then Åsa speaks up and the dog answers her, and she can't stop herself anymore and looks over at Åsa and... really, it's just a quick peek. Maybe two. But she's really only looking up - up there. Yes. Åsa's face, which is too cute for life too. But...no, stop, don't look at her legs, no matter how much you want to. Face. Good.
no subject
"Does anywhere hurt at all?" She adds, her hands moving to stroke her wet fur, examining her discreetly, though she's sure that Siiri's already done so.
no subject
Siiri will put away the showerhead and pick Floweregg up so that she can be placed in the towel that Åsa is holding. "Dry her off- I'll shower, and then you."
And once Floweregg is safely deposited in Åsa's arms, she'll get up and pull the shower curtain shut, and then just... stand there and stare at the wall for a good minute, trying to not shortcut with cuteness.
no subject
"You'll be all right, though. Siiri will look after you and you'll feel much better in a couple of days." She promises, smiling at her.
no subject
She's wearing a fluffy bathing robe now and has her hair up, wrapped in a towel - she vacated the bathroom as quickly as possible so Åsa could shower before catching a cold. "A towel for you's on the sink. Call me if you need something."
