So my soon-to-be roommate and I are going to Vegas starting tomorrow. We're going to be driving there so it's basically a two day trip.
There's a lot going on around here and I hear some stuff's been going down there so we're pulling all the measures of caution, but I'm honestly excited because I've never done a road trip before like this! (Jacuzzi, if you're reading this I promise I'll drive safely. And we'll take rests.)
That said, not-so-hypothetical question this time: What's a good way to keep two people entertained for a trip like that? Or if we want to keep this hypothetical, what will YOU do on a two-day road trip?
I'd make a live recording of the entire thing but I feel like that's stealing an idea off of someone here who said he want to do a live blog sort of thing for his college life.
Bonus Question.
>> You're moving into your first own place and you get to choose any first purchase like a piece of furniture or decoration or anything. No need for realism it's all hypothetical. What will you choose?

I want that.
I would put it right in the middle of my living room.
Also really, really good music or books on tape if you like that kind of stuff.
no subject
I like listening to books but I'll have to ask Jacuzzi if he likes them too. Is that what you'd do too?
no subject
I have no idea. Depends on who I was going with.

[SOMEONE had to be the smartass. FIRST SMARTASS TO ARRIVE DOES SHE GET A PRIZE.]
I hope you're going with someone you can talk to for extremely long periods of time.
no subject
I could talk to him for days on end.
no subject
In that case, I don't think you need to worry about getting bored.

As to your bonus question...a good bed will be my first purchase.
no subject
Describe to me your idea of a "good" bed, too!!
no subject
A good bed for me is at least double sized, not too hard and not too soft and lots of fluffy pillows.

I would pick up a small rock at every stop. By the end of the trip I would have a whole collection of rocks to remind me of the places I had been. Perhaps feathers as well, if I could find them.
As for your second question, I highly recommend a potted fern. They don't need much and are very soothing.

Plants, huh? A potted plant would be nice to have in a new home. Looks nice. Is that what you'd do for your own place, too?

Dr. Mordin Solus. Contact me if in need of medical assistance in Vegas. Can be discreet about more esoteric changes.

Thank you for the offer, Dr. Solus. My name is Nice Holystone. We'll do our best to keep safe and healthy, but it's encouraging to know we got help if we need it!

But I guess you could get some audiobooks or catchy music?
As for furniture, Isaac and I bought a nice shelf when we first moved in together!
Oh, was it? I thought it was that one painting of the field.
You think so?
[Yes, they really just typed all of that. What was that other thing about hypothetical?]
audio because she likes talking to friends;
Snacks, though? That's so sweet of you! And while you're trying to remember that, I hope you know my actual first purchase in mind at least for myself is something from your store so you better be ready to have something good in stock for me!
