I reckon still having the normal stuff to think about balances it all out sometimes. Not that it doesn't make it feel more fucked up in some ways... I mean, shit, feels kinda strange to be thinking about how you might have been overcharged ten bucks at the supermarket when we've got giant snakes bursting up out of the ground and fuck knows what else.

It's such a bizarre dichotomy. I suppose a giant snake bursting up would make one forget about that overcharge rather quickly, but then I wonder how many of us would be like "not again."

Mm. I ain't been in on this long enough to reach that level of part-frustrated, part-exasperated apathy but I don't think it's ever really in anyone's plans to end up living in a badly scripted superhero movie.

I'd take the former. Between all the crazy stuff, having to worry about finals and maybe finding a job is much more welcoming than having to be scared of all the monsters running around trying to eat you!

But tell me about it, May is the worst month.

May would almost be enjoyable if it didn't have all the deadlines.

Seriously. Why couldn't they spread out finals from April to May? Then everything wouldn't be so shushed in together! And we get out of school earlier too! Don't you agree?

Getting out sooner would be wonderful, but it usually means going back sooner in the fall as well. Which would you prefer?

Hm...

I'll still say getting out sooner would still be my option! Because it's going to happen anyway right? And I think the longer we stay in school, the longer we'll start to lose our minds! We just want to get out, take a break, and we'll be right back for school!

...Even though it will still suck.

If only summer could last twice as long - minus the temperature, I must say.

But then that would make going back that much harder. It's a hard choice.
