[It had been a few weeks since her last encounter with the snake attack in downtown but she never could have thought that everything would end up like this. Nevertheless, now that she was on the network?

Looks like she didn't have a choice. With a heavy sigh, she finally responded.]

So I got a quick question. Is there anyone here who doesn't want to be a part of this?

No offense but this isn't the type of thing I would go for. If you want to, then go ahead but I'm not suited for this. Between that snake attack and those aliens, there's got to be something else for those who can't handle it. Yeah, yeah, I can go help at the hospital but who wants to deal with seeing that everyday? That's a lot for an adult or even a kid to handle don't you think? What can a 10 year old do here?

[And not die in the process? However, there was some tapping noises coming from her other end.]

Whatever, I just want someone to get the numbers out of my head! I don't need another snake attack destroying the city or killing me!

[But she did have to admit, she was a little curious about whoever that person was that saved her.]

But they also make us don't have to worry quite as much as before don't you think?

Although I guess it would make us a little less helpless if we knew what were doing or what's really going on.

I guess it's a matter of what you think of as comfortable. I'd rather know what's going on than not know. Knowledge is power and stuff, right?

I suppose that is true but there's still only so much we can do. Like where did those aliens come from or how did we get those memories of whoever our 'past' selves are suppose to be?

What can we do from here?

Maybe others have more than me, but someone sent me a link the other day that really helped me understand stuff. I could try sending it to you?

I guess we can keep trying to find answers for everyone?

Why not? Maybe that will help me understand more about why this is happening! Especially why now out of all things!

...That depends. How much do we know right now? Why is this all connected? Why Locke City? Why everything?!

The girl who gave it to me warned that you probably shouldn't watch the video there. She meant it too.

[ Seeing someone getting gagged and shot was the last thing Alexi expected to see, even when the link warned of a teenager murder. He expected something more like a sniper shot. Not something as drawn out as in the video. He still felt queasy whenever he thought about it. ]

That's a good question. I don't think anyone's really talked about why Locke City and I guess Vegas now were singled out.

That's pretty much asking for it to be watched!

[She always wondered why they kept telling her to do this or that. It just wasn't fair that they were purposely hiding things from kids. Then again, now that she finally got a skim through it?]

Is there some sort of reason why? I can understand Vegas being a little special but Locke City? That's weird!

...But man, that's a lot more murders than I thought than before.

No seriously! It's really disturbing.

And yeah, I was surprised that so many people had died too. I never used to pay much attention to news and stuff.

With my grandparents, I never really let me see the news either. Between all the murders and all the strange stuff going on, that thing is really the only thing that's been telling me what's been happening! Still pretty vague if you ask me.

[ Alexi doesn't really want to go into the details of the video with her, but her previous reaction to being warned about it suggests that beating around the push is more likely to push her toward watching the video just to prove she can. He figures giving a little more information can't hurt. Even though, his tone skips around a bit, as he tries not to think too much about what he saw. ]

Well, it says someone's gonna die. But it's seeing him all scared about it that really messes you up. Those guys are sick.

It's probably the best we're gonna get without just askin' more of the people who've been involved.

[Katie is a stubborn girl who always wonders why people say the things they do sometimes. If it never really hurt anyone, then what's wrong with that? Either way, she just gave a sigh in response.]

If you're really that insist on not making me watch it, then perhaps I won't. [Pause] ...But it just prove a point that this whole thing that no one should ever get involved in this! I can't understand why anyone would want to rush in and do all this stuff!

[ Alexi sounds pretty discouraged at this point, especially since he's also struggling to convince himself. ]

But anyway, I'm still sticking by that you need to help yourself before you can help others! You can't make me change my mind!

Well, I guess I can't really do that unless I can show you.

[ The tone is soft but there is a growing touch of optimism in it. ]
