[Killian is grinning! For once! He's excited and really this is just great]

[He jerks his thumb towards his chest]

You know that kinda-big hardware store, Thorsson's? Apparently they've got a smithy in the back of one and the owner himself saw my jewelery work and hired me to make jewelery and stuff for them. It's just part-time so I'm still working at the stables and I'll still take private commissions but yeah. If you need me and I'm not answering my phone or the network, try there.

Hey, if you think it will you can get a hold of Mr. Thorsson and arrange for, like, a fitting or something with me? I honestly don't know how this really works just yet.

[And about two weeks later, when everything has been sorted out, she will be dropping by - at the time of her arrival at the actual smithy she is positively frozen with nerves, due to all the strangers that she had to ask and talk to. But she's still there at the door, knocking.]

[And Killian is the one to get the door. He grins and ushers Siiri in]

Oh, hey! I realized after our last conversation that I don't think I ever got your name.

Siiri Pulkkinen.

[She offers her hand for a handshake after being inside and having stopped, not yet looking around but instead looking all the way down at him ~~she's even taller than Blaine~~ and... she is trying to smile, to look friendly in general, promise. But she's much too tense to have anything but tension written over her face, and the way that shows in her face it's an expression that would be read as threatening/angry/furious by 99% of humanity (the rest 1% are her parents and her former roommate who are used to it). ...It's only getting worse the longer she stands there, because she's growing tenser by the second - meeting a stranger, in a place foreign to her, and she never even gave her name, what must he think...

At this point she is basically glaring silently and will probably remain so until he manages to shake her out of it. Too much down with the nerves to unfreeze.]

(ooc: fanartists aren't nearly as prone to draw scary!fem!Sweden as scary!male!Sweden because women have to be blushy and cutey or something idk, but something a bit like this I guess???? Like Sweden's face in canon makes other characters faint, and she doesn't have the force behind it but it's a similar expression. Sorry for making this complicated I need to find a good icon for this expression)

[Yeah okay, she's pretty scary. And tall. And that Echo about not trusting tall people is pounding in his head but he ignores it. He just smiles a bit and shakes her hand]

Killian Ryan. I told my boss I was fitting you for a bracelet so follow me?

[He starts to head off towards his workbench]

[Turning away and giving her something to do was a pretty ideal solution- it takes a moment but then she follows, relaxing a fraction and finally looking around a bit.

It... feels familiar, in a way that makes no sense, yet at the same time doesn't. Which would not be odd, considering that if she ever was in a smithy in her former life, it would have looked different.

She's slowly following, stopping halfway to look at one of the swords - not touching anything though. Just looking.]

[Especially viking ones, because local archeology and such. Which means that she doubt that any echoes will come form there. Hm.

Since they are the only people in the smithy, she moves over towards the anvil ...and there it is. She'd expected it - hoped for it, because that was what she was here for - but it is still a sickening feeling and she grabs the next table for support. Oof.]

[He's not really the best one to grab Siiri but he does anyway, supporting her as best he can]

You okay?

[She waits until she doesn't feel like she might fall over any moment, and then nods. And looks around. Sure, those things often take a while to show up, but... she tries to feel if there are any differences.]

I'm fine. [It's embarrassing, but she'll live, and...] I got one.

[He grins, grabbing a chair and pulling it over so Siiri can sit down if she needs to]

Sweet. What of?

[She frowns. Tries to figure it out.] The anvil?

[Maybe. ...so it would have to be related to that somehow?]

What, like you remember being in front of one or something?

[She shakes her head, frowns. Not a memory... but then one of the pieces of refuse catches her eye, and a moment later she is leaning over to pick it up. Yes, she knows exactly why this was tossed away even if it looks perfectly fine on first glance - a bad blending, too brittle to hold up in the long term.]

...an ability?

[More a question than an answer.]

Could be. That's how I got the jewelery making skills and the archery. Metal, what's the word....metallurgy? Or whatever that's called?

Maybe I could use those.

[She gestures towards the anvil - she will definitely not try to use anything in this room, it would obviously be a bad idea, she doesn't want to get Killian in trouble - but she will see if she can figure it out in some other way.]

[Killian glances towards the anvil]

Well, not that one obviously but there's gotta be someplace to test that out, yeah? Where do people even learn blacksmithing anymore anyway?

[She shrugs a bit helplessly.]

Google. [She means that she'll check that to see if she can find a place, not learn blacksmithing there, but what are complete sentences.]

...do you mean you'll find a place or learn to do it from Google and YouTube videos?

[Sigh]

I'll find a place through google.

[The echo came with a small wave of confidence, but now she's starting to clam up again. She wants to go home and just curl up.] You mentioned fitting?

[She'll need to find something for a thank you.]

Oh--you want to buy something for real? You don't have to, I mean, I can do a fitting so I didn't outright lie but...

[She seems to relax at that, a fraction of the tension leaving her. She'd have been able to buy something, but if she can keep from putting pressure on her finances then she'd really like to not do that.]
