This is as much of a test as it is anything else - she's definitely not gonna have a potential deviant on her own team, and she doesn't want such a person with the kids, too. But at the same time it is impossible to read for her what the fuck the actual problem is, and depending... she also wants to keep an eye on him for as long as possible. From what she noticed, he seemed to have no issues with the underground part of the whole thing, so she sees no problem with taking him along there.

There will be more attention on him than on the others in the group over the course of the operation, but not enough to seem odd - there really will be other things to think about. Just enough to know that he's not starting anything weird.
