I... well, I suppose I don't really know where to begin with this. It's a lot to take in. It ... has been for a little while, really.

I hate to admit this, but these numbers have been in my head for a good while. A couple months, at least. I honestly took one look at what came up when I put them in, and...

Heh. I figured people had to be crazy, right? Or that this must be some sort of joke, even though I very well know I don't know any way I could have known them.

Perhaps I tried to ignore it because I didn't want to drag my family into anything crazy. Yet the more I sit here and have these things nagging at me, the more I realize I could be doing that by just sitting idly by.

What I remember that came with them is just as vivid as the day they came to me, as well.

I just need some sort of answer.

Right. Yes, you need to be careful about that. There are some of us in the police force, but the impression I get is that there aren't as many as we might think. Not to mention that they have those numbers-sniffing dog-things.

I'm not sure if anyone's determined what they are exactly. They look like dogs, but at the same time they don't, and they have the ability to be able to pick one of us out in a crowd.
