Entry 001 | Handwritten
[Suddenly, whatever the reincarnates are using to access the network will have a few dates, appointment times, and notes being scrawled onto its surface.
"4/29 - Send finished presentation to Ayliff, 4/30 - meeting with board members" for example. Then one of the notes cuts off halfway through ("Speak with Profe") and there's nothing more for a while.
About an hour after the message first appears, Aeron finally adds onto it again. The handwriting is neat, just as it was previously, but now there's a certain slant to the words that convey a sense of irritation and impatience.]
Now that I've seemingly broadcasted my week's schedule to the whole of the city as well as established that this is not, in fact, a figment of my imagination brought about by countless hours of studying, would anyone care to explain? I assume, by the other entries on here, that people other than myself have found their new personal organizers mysteriously capable of receiving and transmitting messages.
Let's have it then. How many of you are there?
And while you're at it, I'd appreciate it if you all erased my schedule from your journals. It goes without saying why.

[ Emery spends that hour contemplating what best way to approach Aeron about his slip. While it's clear he's new to the network (much to Emery's chagrin
and slight concern), he isn't as new an addition to his life, and their last conversation wasn't exactly friendly. Not unfriendly, of course, just slightly prickly around the edges, and Emery finds himself tapping the arse-end of his pen against his notebook in indecision.—Not about the presentation, either. ]
Penning?
[ Good start, Emery. Good start. ]
Beginning to see why I might've been a bit distracted lately?
[handwritten]
Why does it not surprise me to find you right in the middle of this, Ayliff?
Don't tell me you've been fiddling about with this while you were supposed to be working.
[He kind of said he'd do the presentation because you needed more time, idiot.]
[handwritten]
[ Seriously Aeron. ]
I should ask, though. Aside from this, has anything ... notably odd happened to you lately?
no subject
Though I dread to see what you've been up to.
[He's been looking at some of the entries on the Network and...he's not sure what to make of it all, to be honest.]

[ There's silence for a moment, then: ]
Something bad is happening, and I think it involves all of us. Now you too.

Are you implying that anything I write after the number will be shown like my schedule was?
[text, phone]

How exactly did this happen? I assume there is a limited number of people capable of using this system, otherwise I would have heard something by now. A secret like this never stays secret for long if there's too many involved.

Anything you put it on will transform into networked material.
Don't go writing it on the bathroom walls. No one wants to see that~ [[Have a small doodled of a scandalized looking figure next to that]]
[Handwritten]
I'd like to think most people have more sense than that. Unless someone has already made an example of themselves.
[Handwritten]
[[Starting to fill in detail on that doodle now. Looks like he has coloured pencils with him as the figure now has a blue and green striped shirt.]]

[Aeron watches the little doodle fill up with colour with some interest.]
Do you always accompany your messages with a drawing?

text, computer.
Nobody has tried to determine exactly how many of us there are, but there are at least a couple dozen, as nearly as I can determine.
[handwritten]
That's a lot of information you've collected.
A conspiracy in the leadership though. Really? That's a heavy accusation. It's hard to believe all this has been happening without most of the city noticing.
no subject
It's a steep accusation, but we had evidence on the network. The statue in the police station, and the one in the Dead District - those seem to mess with your thoughts when you get near them, so I have to wonder if they have anything else up their sleeve that can do the same. It is a lot to pull over so many people, I admit, but...it is what it is.
no subject
What are you planning to do next?
[It's a little mad, jumping into the mess like this. What can Aeron even do to contribute? But still, if something like this is really happening, then he can't exactly sit back and watch it happen without helping somehow.]

NOT SORRY FOR THIS also text
Charming little prince, aren't you?
[ Well, you had to let him have at least one. It's practically a rule with him. ]
GOOD [handwritten]
What a helpful contribution that was.

Yes.
Much like yours.

Hi. I'm fairly certain someone else got to you before I did, so I'll just sum it up: you're on a network that isn't accessible to people who don't have a number looping in their heads. Strange things have happened since we first got on it, and the werewolves and crazy animals are just scratching the surface, apparently.
[handwritten]
[There's a bit of hesitation here before Aeron writes more.]
I guess if we're all going to be connected through these numbers we should get to know each other.
