[After several hours of adults being either incredibly angry or incredibly relieved, and several more hours of sticking to his paper thin story of 'we went exploring and some stuff fell on me', Luke finally has some time alone in his room. His handwriting is smaller and more subdued than it normally is.]

[The whole concept of "speech and writing differ" was really weird for her when she first encountered other languages. But she has found that while Americans generally cannot do it correctly because of differences in sound production, pronouncing her name as they see it usually is as close as they get.

She'll switch for voice for a moment, though, just for her name. Speaking English on the phone is worse than speaking her own language on the phone, and that already gives her enough trouble...]
