Who: Zelos Wilder (
thewinningside) and you!
Where: EVERYWHERE
When: 11/12 All day
What: Zelos has the day off so we are getting shenanigans, what better way to spend it than tracking down Numbers!
ABOUT THIS POST
Zelos is trying to find people based off what he's read on the network. He just wants to meet people! This is because he's not sure yet if he should turn everyone in to the police to try and cut himself a good deal out of this crazy situation or if he should actually have a spine and stick it out on the side of the Numbered. So he wants to meet as many people as possible before he makes his decision! If anyone asks about why he's tracking people down he'll just play it off like he's a famous idiot with a lot of time on his hands doing all this for laughs.
HOW THIS POST WORKS
Zelos is going to be all over! He will be hitting up the schools in particular, but he could conceivably be anywhere. He doesn't have to have talked to your character on the network either! If you're interested in running into him please do one of the following:
→Reply to this post with a comment detailing what he might have learned about your character from looking over the network. Things like obvious personality traits, names, what they look like, any abilities they've talked about/shown and any clues they've left that could have led him to their location and where you'd like him to find them is what I'm looking for. Just a general synopsis is good, no need for links to anything unless you have something you want him to reference in particular. We'll work out a scenario for him to run into your character from there!
→Throw up a comment of your character somewhere doing something and they can either recognize him from the network or he can recognize them (please specify which you want since I'm still not sure which characters are active/open about themselves on the network and which are lurkers/super careful about letting identifying information get out). The location/scenario can be as ridiculous as you want! He's famous, he will just walk right into your class/job/knock on your door and chat up your parents with some legit sounding lie for why he's come to see you.

LCHS fooor anyone in Richard Locke's Chem Class
Signing in as a guest at the front office with a convenient lie and a charming smile he slapped on his visitors' sticker and strolled the halls of Locke City High School until he found the right classroom. A jaunty rap on the door and he let himself in without the slightest sign of guilt. "Helloooo~♪. Is Mr. Locke in here, hmmm!"
no subject
Miles tends to be one of those kinds of students to be one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave, so even if class is over, and has been for a bit, he's still inside, rereading his notes and comparing them with Mr. Locke's writing up front.
But he's not prepared for some company, especially company as loud and as unexpected as some... man looking for his teacher, and he startles enough to drop his notebook.
Because seriously. What the heck.
He manages to recover enough to shoot a frown at the man. "Mr. Locke's class ended, so you're out of luck."
What the heck is some guy like this doing here anyway?
no subject
Stepping into the room he closes the door behind him, casual as ever. Hmmm. "But you should be more careful!" Walking forward he picks up the notebook and offers it back with a strange smile. "A Numbers Club won't do you much good if you let yourself be caught alone."

a little after miles
After some debating, the meal of choice settled upon was a hamburger. Maybe it lacked nutritional value, but it would help him get through the day. Oh how glorious the day will be when this hi-exsphere or Cruxis Crystal or whatever grants that wondrous lessened need for food. Truly glorious, indeed.
Once the hamburger had been paid for, Richard started back to his classroom while contemplating the curious gem some more. He arrived at the classroom, opened the door and-- stopped. Huh. An oddly familiar redhead appeared to be inside. Richard blinked. This couldn't possibly be... "...Zelos?"
no subject
Because that totally was a conceivable scenario in any reality. Sure. "I hope you appreciate your secretaries here. They're quite the cute bunch ♥!"
And let him in so easily...so, so easily.

"Is that who I think it is! Talk about a microscopic world ♪!" Walking over he waves. No, colloquialisms aren't his strong point. But he's got on one hell of a smile to make up for it! "Aren't you a little young for this school yet, miss~?"

At the middle school
Zelos, what are you doing at a middle school; that's kinda creepy, dude.Their conversation was just voice on Toushriou's end, but even from that, it would've been easy to peg that he's somewhere around twelve years old and thus would be attending middle school. And wouldn't you know it? The school's soccer team had a game after school today, and that grouchy kid with the narrow focus had said that he plays.]It was one of the last games of the season, and against one of better schools. In the end, Toushirou's school had scraped out a three-two win after coming from behind. He wasn't terribly big on celebration, of course, but yanking the rug out from under the other team was satisfying on a certain level and even got a smile out of him in the locker room after the game. A couple of his teammates even high-fived each other at managing such a feat as getting him to smile. Celebratory moods made you do silly things.
His face was back to its far more common neutral expression by the time he left the locker room, though. Smiling hardly ever lasted long when he wasn't around family. Backpack secured over his shoulders, he made a quick trip to his locker to grab that history textbook he needed for his homework tonight.
Or that was the plan, anyway. He stopped briefly and frowned; that was the annoying guy he'd talked to on the network recently, just casually strolling the halls. "What are you doing here?"
no subject
"It's my day off! You don't think a soccer game is a fine way to spend it?" He smiles, but he does want to make triple certain he has who he thinks he does. Even if it's all, but confirmed. "Maybe this is just my sense of humor."
The reference should be clear, right? If their talk was as memorable as it was for him.
no subject
He rolled his eyes. "Because it occurs to just anyone to drop by a middle-school soccer game. And I believe I told you that your sense of humour sucks."
Not in those exact words, of course, but yeah. He could double-speak, too. At least to a certain extent. And it wasn't so much that he found their conversation in particular to be memorable as that he just had a good memory in general.

Locke City Academy
[Akito's heading home the minute school gets out, his backpack slung over one shoulder. Since his friends are all busy with their own stuff, he might as well just get back to his room and play some games while he watches the network, as usual. He doesn't even notice the star on his way to catch the bus.]

Yoooo! Kid! With the brown hair!
[...That could be half of this crowd, well he's making a ruckus enough isn't he? Reaching out he tries to tug on the back of Akito's backpack to snag his attention.]
I've got a question for you!

Up until his bag gets tugged, anyway.]

A Starbucks (pick one there are probably like 20)
[Kanti isn't really dissatisfied with her job because that would require actually being satisfied with it in the first place. Mostly, she'd just glad that she has a steady means of getting money, which is great since it lets her do various hobby things and put money towards network things.
Still, she doesn't look all too happy to be working the machines in layered long-sleeves. It's not so much that it's hard, but the slight increase in temperature every time she has to steam milk isn't the most pleasant thing in the world.]
no subject
It might be a bit surprising when Kanti's coworker comes over and tells her someone from the "Numbers Club" is here to see her and the boss is apparently a fan so she can take an extended break so long as she gets his autograph. For his part Zelos just waves.]
no subject
Still, he looks slightly familiar, like she's seen him on a flyer somewhere, and it takes her co-worker mentioning her manager being a fan for her to relax and take a breath before snatching a coffee cup for him to sign and making her way around the counter. Not to say she's all too happy about being called out when she reaches him, and it's really easy to use that to her advantage when looking scary, being that she's nearly 6'0 (even if he is an inch taller than her, dammit).]
I'm not sure what you're thinking, or if I know you well enough to judge, but this was probably a terrible idea.

Something Old Antiques
It's generally been a normal day for the Dians. A few people stopped by to see their wares, a few others wanted to get things appraised, and even more others came to complete transactions.
All in all, a pretty good day thus far.
Re: Something Old Antiques
It's easy enough to navigate to the counter at least! "Hello there ♪. You wouldn't happen to be Mr. and Ms. Dian would you?"
...He didn't think he could mistake these two, but might as well ease into this!

The walls are lined with strange masks, clocks, and paintings of all sorts of different colors and hues. Vases, pots, bowls, and other ceramic plates sit haphazardly on zig-zag tables. A series of unusually shaped doors and corresponding doorknob lean against a wall or two. Bookshelves, typewriters, lamps, clothes racks, and any other item imaginable can be found anywhere, with no discernible organization plan. Finally, a giant Rube Goldberg device sits in the center of the shop. Where it starts or begins is anyone's guess.
Isaac and Miria are working at seperate ends of the counter, with Miria appraising a bunny-shaped vase, while Isaac skims through the official papers and such. Both have their own notepad connected to the network.
They smile brightly at the new customer

The edge of a wealthy end of town.
She feels a bit off-balance, after all that particular attention to one leg and on one side - but it's getting things over with. It's a thing she's used to enough that it's not a tedious process, and all told she enjoys it. That lack of balance aside, she takes a few faux-lightened steps over toward her stable, redirects herself, tosses her head and trots with her head held high along the fence to where that white cat whose name - if it's meant to have one, she does feel a little vexed every time the thought comes out that she has no clue what to call her by but "my cat friend" - she still doesn't know is also cleaning herself off.
Stations herself next to her. Turns her head to look at her. The cat pauses mid-lick. Returns that with a sideways look up at the horse, who turns closer to the cat. Flicks an ear. Tosses her head again - casually-jauntily. "Nice weather we're having..." she says. Light, dry, and idle.

After some digging about he'd found a mutual acquaintance of his and the resident family's. A visit, lunch, lots of chatty talk and promises he didn't intend to keep later and- he made his way out into the yard to see the Bell's horse himself. For inspiration! If nothing else could be said about him he could lie his way into practically anything when he tried hard enough.
"...You know how hard you are to visit?" This said as he jogged up to the correct part of the fence Cinderella was at. ...There was a lot of fence on this property. "Hi."

[LSR Clinic]
If Zelos goes back far enough, he'll get the sense that Aaron Strider is a levelheaded man, running a charity clinic in the bad part of town. Not the friendliest or the most open, but he won't turn you away. Close friends with everyone who works there, but especially, it seems, Julen Sakazaki.
And if Zelos comes to the clinic, he's actually going to find Aaron smoking outside, a good thirty feet from the building.]
no subject
For his part Zelos at least had the sense to show up in average clothes with his flashy red hair pulled back. No need to ask for trouble by making a spectacle of himself here. ...At least for right now.
Walking right up to the building he pauses outside the door and looks at the sign. Then he looks at Aaron. ...Back at the sign. ...Aaron. HMMMM.]
You are the doctor, right? Shouldn't you be against that sort of thing?
[Not asking for trouble doesn't last very long with him, whoops.]

LCHS hallway
Now Lloyd walked through the halls, frowning as he let his thoughts consume him. He wasn't sure how the numbers worked, but he knew he needed a lot of As and Bs if he was ever going to be allowed to join any sports. A zero definitely would not help that. Also his dad wouldn't be very happy.
"Maybe if Mr. Locke made more sense explaining stuff I wouldn't have to work on it so late..." he mumbled to himself. Because right now, blaming someone else seemed easier than taking responsibility for himself. At the very least, he obviously thought it was easier than paying attention to where he was going.
