[Filtered from a certain blond explorer]
I need some ideas on where to take someone that's unique and interesting around the city. The person is a bit difficult to impress, so it should be something different, maybe something you wouldn't think of right away. Something Old is already on my list, but he's probably already been there so I don't know. Most of the places I go are kind of boring. I know there are some old bookstores tucked away around here, and I've considered those too, but those aren't really impressive either. I'm trying to go for something... different.
Any ideas would be great, I need them quick. I may have gotten in a little over my head here. Oh, and places to eat, I kind of still owe him lunch too, I guess.
[Private to Brooke; text to phone]
Sorry to text you out of the blue, but I think I might need some advice on something.
[Private to Ez; text to phone]
[Well, she was going to call him originally, but she just kind of sat there like an idiot looking at her phone. So, instead of making a total fool of herself, have a text. A very well thought-out text, that took her a long time to construct.]
What are you doing Saturday?
[A very long time.]

[Right, another thing.]
I should probably be the one to order. There's a certain way of doing it. I don't think you'd offend anyone, since they probably have English speaking waiters here, but you never know.
[They're seated without much delay and menus put in front of them. Luci immediately looks over it.]
Okay, so there isn't anything too heavy here. This is mostly brunch items, so quiches, sandwiches, a few meat dishes... oh that looks really good, actually...

[If she were a lesser person, she might have tried to find something that would have been unappealing to him. At the same time, that much was likely near impossible. When the waiter arrives, she orders. Her French, while seemingly very precise and well-spoken, is a bit formal--if he could pick up on that. School-taught, as opposed to learned from immersion.]
I hope you like it. The food here isn't as... interesting as where you took me before.

But I thought you cooked from time to time.

But take-out constantly? Doesn't that get old? If I could cook even half as well as you, I would cook all the time!

[Leftovers are a staple in her everyday diet.]
Can't you just half all of the ingredients?
[She probably shouldn't be giving advice, though, considering her track record.]

[Although she definitely wouldn't say no.]

W... well I wouldn't ask you to, obviously--
[And food. Oh thank goodness, her luck with these awkward situations have been really good today. Bringing two plates, one with a herb-encrusted chicken leg and thigh and vegetables, the other with a bowl and bread. She says something quickly in French, and the chicken goes to Ez.]

[It looks like she has a soup of some kind? But it has some weird cheese layer melted on top. Also a grainy-looking bread beside the bowl.]

[He is eating with a bit more restrained gusto than normal. After a brief pause to chew and swallow]
What did you get?

[She smiles.]
Well, you probably have at least a dozen different languages on me, so at least I have something that you can't do infinitely better than I can.
