[He shouldn't do this. There are more important things he should be doing right now, even if he's taken the day off in anticipation for the hunt.

Still, Hajime's been trying to get his mind off of that one terrible memory that's been running through his head ever since he made a quiet visit out to that snake pillar. And he used to enjoy the arcade...

He won't respond to that text, but he'll show up before the place actually opens, and he'll give Bakura a nod of greeting.]

Hey. [[returns the nod with a small wave]] Come for a game?

Yeah, I thought it might make for a change of pace. I haven't been in one of these in forever, anyway.

[He shrugs and tries to look remarkably unconcerned about...well, anything. If this can get his mind off of that memory for a while, it's enough.]

No time off between work and school? [[It's almost a pitying smile. Because c'mooon. Gaaaaaaaaaaames!]]

[Hajime shakes his head and looks a bit wistful.]

I've been working in that restaurant in one way or another since I was very small. Never had much free time.

You're in here a lot, I take it?

[[nods]] Yeah. Enough that unless someone's beaten them, I have the high scores on at least three of the machines.

[There's a bit of a smirk at the bragging.]

[Yeah, he just might be thinking of trying to challenge Bakura to his own game.]

So what games are we talking about here?

[Hajime checks the time on his phone.]

Should be open any minute now, shouldn't it?

[Lucas probably saw that text right now. A visit to the arcade doesn't seem like a bad idea. So a few minutes after the arcade opens, he'll be entering inside.]

[[Bakura's already got his quarters into his favorite side scroller, setting off combo attacks and jumping over obstacles like a pro. How many hours was it that they said you needed to put into something to become an expert at it? Whatever it was, Bakura must be quite close to that amount of time spent with games.

And as he's the only one there so soon with the exception of Hajime who's likely somewhere still it'll be a pretty safe guess that he's the one who sent out the call to quarters.]]

[Oh hey, he played that game weeks ago. He's never beaten the high score, and he hasn't reached half of the game's stages yet. But wow look at this guy go, throwing killer combos and such.

So Lucas would just stand there, as he watches in awe since damn, he couldn't even pull off that awesome attack in the game. Don't mind him really.]

[Action] They need to form the striped shirt alliance~ :D

[Lucas is a bit surprised that this guy knows his name. Unless he's one of the guys he's talked to before.]

The one you freed from the game and led into the world of paper~ [[He grins as he says it before giving a small laugh.]] Bakura. The one who drew all those pictures.

Oh, that was you?

[There's a small smile, and a bit of a chuckle upon mentioning those drawings.]

They were pretty cute though.

Un! Surprised to see me in person?

[[Since a teenager with a shock of white hair and a scar under one eye was hardly the same as the tapir mage he had drawn.]]

[Late to the party it is. Some people have work, yo. But Kotetsu drops in during his lunch hour--more to people-watch than play, really. Not that he's "too old" for games (far from it, really), but his nerves aren't exactly conducive to punching out fictional enemies with a joystick when he's worried enough about the actual enemies they'll likely be facing tonight.

So he just buys himself a hot dog from the food court and takes a seat at one of the tables, watching the people (mostly kids, with some adults--parents and not) milling about, having fun, making small-talk or cursing out the games they're bad at.

It's a nice day, at least. He could almost convince himself everything's normal. Almost.]

[[Oh hey, it's that guy. Feeling impish as often, Bakura does his best to sneak up behind him, hoping that the noise of the arcade will help with that until he gets close enough.]]

[He's not usually high-strung, but recent events do make him jump a little when the boy sneaks up on him. But it's only a moment before he's smiling.]

[He shakes his head, still somewhat amused.]

If we all waited until Halloween to be silly, it'd be pretty dull, don't you think?
