❧ 003 ❧ Video from laptop camera
[The video starts with a rather empty wall of an apartment with a light source directed at it and a piece of furniture in the corner of the frame. A few seconds pass without anything going on, except for a black streak of fur chasing after a ball toy. Off-screen, Xander's voice is heard and he sounds rather calm for the most part.]
I noticed that a lot of people were sharing what they got from the lights.
[He walks in to frame and is seen wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and jeans, but he's not facing the camera. He's intentionally keeping his back to the recording to lower the chances of people identifying him. He makes his way over to the wall.]
...You could say I was reluctant to share, but, I was busy learning how to control it better.
[With that said, he brings a hand up to it and starts to merge with his own shadow against the wall. It takes a few moments before he's a silhouette against the wall, but he's facing the camera now -- not like it was very noticeable.]
I can also take the form of someone else's shadow and not just my own. I don't have anyone else here to demonstrate that, so, you'll have to take my word for it.
[He starts to move up to the ceiling, disappearing from the frame. A few moments later, a bit of a thump is heard from behind the camera and the video ends.]

Is that so? ...I wasn't aware of that. I'm still new to this ability thing.
[He moves his arm and hand to make a small circular gesture of the current situation.]
Maybe you're right with being able to do more with it, if I get another 'pulse' related to it.
[A brief exhale escapes him before he turns his attention to the flashlight and points at it. Even though it might not be portrayed properly because he's a silhouette.]

[it takes him a second to realize Xander's pointing at the flashlight. he looks down at it, and a second later it clicks what he's being asked to do. right, yes, that, only just the whole reason he came here.]
[he flips it on and keeps it aimed at the ground like it's a weapon.]
Hold out your arm. [don't want to aim direct center of mass just in case this turns out ugly]
no subject
But at the request, he extends his arm just like he was told.]
I'll let you know if I feel anything.

...I don't feel any different. Do you think we should try something else?
[Because someone on the network mentioned something about a torch. A fire source or a chilly environment might cause some issues for him.]
no subject
[it's kind of a relief to hear that Xander can't feel it, because it seems like the sort of thing that could be painful for a shadow-form.]
Ah, hang on. It does something, actually.
[he takes out his phone and sets up a network PM to Xander, then takes a quick recording of what it looks like. this is only to avoid having a concrete record off-network.]
[he turns the flashlight off and steps up to play it back for Xander to see]
no subject
What is it?
[He would get his answer very soon, once Ravindra brought the phone over to show him the video. He could have materialized from the wall to get a better look, since being two-dimensional didn't allow him to lean forward.]
...That is interesting.
[It wasn't apparent that he was looking at Ravindra, but he was thinking of what to do next. A part of him wanted to try escaping from being grabbed or restrained.]
Hey, Savarna. Would you be interested in restraining me to see if I could escape from your grip?
no subject
[he just kind of stares at Xander for a minute]
[Okay, number 1--awkward???, and number 2--Xander is currently a two-dimensional shadow on a two-dimensional plane and Ravi is decidedly not.]
Is that even possible when you are like this?
no subject
Probably not. Just give me a moment to get out of this.
[Except, he could try emerging from the wall or take the simple route of dropping out from the ceiling. Falling out of the ceiling would lead to more bruises and a little bit of noise while the other one would be less harmful to himself.
He moves to the side, away from Ravindra, just in case he stumbled in to the other man. After inhaling briefly, he focuses on materializing himself from the shadows. It takes a little bit, but he manages to pry himself from the wall and becomes three-dimensional again. He glances himself over, just to make sure he was all there.]
All right. I think I'm good.
