[The following is messily scrawled onto a piece of graph paper – the words don't seem to be able to keep up with Mordin's thoughts.]
communication network able to be projected onto any surface; likely information uploaded to local device i have on me - bug? invisible contact lens? brain?
in any case, makes much more sense than alternative– can hardly link piece of paper to network. explains why colleagues don't seem to perceive anything out of the ordinary – had a colleague look over my shoulder just now, didn't react at all
not sure how device got here however – possibly implanted during hospital stay? have to ask – what brought network to attention of rest of you?

I'd been in the hospital for a few hours a few weeks before they got really insistent and wouldn't go away, but I was never unconscious. They didn't do anything.

[Because he would probably die. You know that 'don't trust the cops' thing? Yeah, this dude's unlucky enough to be a cop in the midst of all that mess.]

His future attempts to spread rumors about me are why I was tempted to make him need a visit to the hospital.

I first got my number when I was recording a song. I suddenly had a melody pop into my head, and the number was embedded into it like lyrics. It came with some sort of message in my voice, something cryptic about "another world."
I don't think whatever it is was implanted in me during a hospital stay. This happened when I was a teenager, and the last major hospital visit I had was an asthma attack when I was about 10.

of course, begs several more questions, but not enough data to form answers.
