Where: Multiple, Meet-Up point at a cafe on the beach, beach photoshoot, church + forest

Also for models, etc. If wanted, just comment directly on the main shoot threads with whatever you want to do with your character. Shou is officially our director but Riku and Maya will probably also be able to tell you what to do---IF you need someone to tell you ;).]

Beach Mingle - Saturday (any time)

[Not part of the main event? Or just taking a break? Go ahead and have fun in the sun while it lasts, just try not to get the cameras wet. Or the models. Unless you're into that sort of thing.]

[So Arthur's taking a break the best way he knows how--he's standing at the ocean's edge, talking to the fish.]

HELLO OUT THERE!

[Or "yelling to the fish" might be more accurate.]

[Oh, it's the gentleman who helped her out the other day after all! She thought she recognized him in the ad.]

Who are you talking to..?

[Oh god. He knew this would happen.] Again? [At least there aren't any guards or tanks to fall into.]

He talks to fish. Or he thinks so. [Sandwich, Maya? It's well-wrapped. Then he walks a little closer to Arthur.]

Don't wash the makeup off yet! [That's another extra three hours else, seriously.]

[Another three hours of makeup meant another three hours of pay. The camera assistant walks up looking like her might help Riku, but that just wouldn't be Van now would it?]

What? You don't think he can? Hey, big guy! Think you can call some dolphins up for the shoot?!

I don't THINK I talk to the fish, I KNOW I talk to the fish! And anything else that swims!

[As though to prove it, he reaches down, just barely missing the surface of the water, and a hermit crab hops into his palm.]

Say hello, little guy!

[The hermit crab waves a pincer around in an approximation of a wave.]

Don't worry about the makeup--I'll be careful!

[And he grins pretty broadly in an answer to that question.]

I'm not sure what my range is, but I can sure try! Dolphins are great conversational partners!

[He's holding two fingers to the side of his head, like it's helping him think.]

I might have a couple of them...

What, really? [Guess who just got derailed. How many times do you see dolphins out of aquariums, man. He needs his camera.] Can you tell them what to do, too?

[Cogs, they're turning.]

Well, yeah! If they feel like listening!

[But most of the time, swimming things usually felt like listening to Arthur. Where marine life is concerned, he's got a magnetic personality.

In the distance, a dolphin jumps out of the water.]

[Van blinked at the crab, not expecting that to actually work. Then glanced at the sea to see the dolphins.]

Hey, look. Camera quick. [He nudge Riku and pointed out to them.]

Looks like we've got a real Little Mermaid here.

[depolarized]

[Is this for real?? Riku half steps towards the edge of the beach with his camera in hand before he even thinks about it, but by the time he fumbles the cap off, the dolphin's gone. He lets it rest loose and easy on his neck.] Then that makes you the nutjob seagull.

[He calls out to Arthur.] Hey! can you make them do that again?

[Kanti doesn't even know what to do with this. There is a guy on the beach yelling at the ocean. Her parents would tell her to stay away, but then again, her parents also think she's at a study group.

She walks up next to him, peers out towards the ocean, and then looks at him.]

Who are you screaming at?

The fish, of course!

[There's a broad, sweeping gesture at the ocean.]

And anyone and anything else that might be living out there!

[Yep, perfectly rational, reasonable behavior there.]

The... fish?

[Kanti is good at rallying herself, but talking to fish is a little outside of her jurisdiction.]

You talk to fish? And other sea creatures?

[What.]

Of course I can! I've been able to do it ever since I fell into that tank of dolphins at the marine park and those numbers popped into my head!

[Said like it's the most normal thing in the world. He'll bend down, reach into the water, and pick up a small crab that's now sitting on the palm of his hand.]

Why don't you tell the nice lady hello?

[The crab waves a pincer in an approximation of a wave.]

What? [Congrats on breaking her stoic facade because wow she is just wow...]

What?

[She looks down at the crab and, well, crabs are kind of like insects. They're both in the phylum Arthropoda. And Kanti thinks bugs are pretty great, so she can understandably bring crabs under that umbrella. She gives it a little pat on the top of it's shell.]

Hello.

[Then she looks back up at him.] I'm Kanti. Kanti Singh.

[Arthur is quite used to having this effect on people, though it doesn't seem to make him bat an eye one way or another.]

Hey, I think he likes you!

[And there's a grin.]

I'm Arthur! Arthur Curry! Nice to meet you!

It's nice to meet you too, though a bit strange. I haven't met anyone who could talk to fish before. That's a very interesting ability to have.

[She absentmindedly continues to stroke the crabs shell before pulling her hand back to her side.]

Can you understand them too? Do they talk back?

[Shou brought with him not only several costume pieces that might help the shoot, but also a couple super-soakers. so after eating a little, he stripped off his t-shirt and went over to the water's edge to fill one up and then walked on back to the party with a big huge grin on his face.

once there, he starts opening fire on anyone not in a costume. did he just hit you? oops his bad.]

[Riku, in the meantime, is enjoying his downtime while the models reapply their makeup after lunch and is doing some scoping when--] What the--

You brought a water gun to a photoshoot?[Not that he seems to mind--tread carefully, Shou.] Where's mine?

What else would I bring to the ocean? [he grins and stands with the gun resting against his hip ever so gangster-like. it's really a big water gun too.]

Maybe~

[depolarized]

Maybe some sunscreen so you don't bake like a lobster.

[Oh really. Riku grins.] That your final answer? [Because watch out he's running for you.]

I tan just fine. [well, not all of him like that scar he woke up with.

but OSHI he is not happy and is going to hit Riku with some water before trying evasive maneuvers.]

Don't you dare!

[depolarized]

Too late! Think fast! [He ducks under the spray, laughing as he chases after Shou and hooks an arm around him, trying to get him in a headlock.]

[what? what? seriously? Shou has to wiggle free, dancing over to the edge of the ocean before snorting and tossing his loaded gun at Riku. He picks up his bag and takes out his spare gun and bends down to fill it up.]

You're on! One on one, winner gets totally dunked!

[depolarized]

[Riku catches the gun, brandishing it at Shou.] Works for me--If you can catch me when I win.

[He kneels to fill up the tank, too, simply submerging the pistol in the water and watching the bubbles go up.]
