So, hyperthetically speaking, what advice would you give someone who might like another person but doesn't really think that they're in the same league as each other?

[ Another pause, he could only imagine how pathetic this must have looked to certain people on the network, but he really didn't have anyone else to ask. Apart from his boss, and that was not going to happen. ]

I don't fare well in seedy places, let's go somewhere in the city centre? Do you like Japanese food? Or, I mean, if you just want to eat something I work at Cold Marble so if you come when I'm locking up we can have a secret ice cream party.

[ He hears what he said back and laughs at himself in a good natured manner. ]

That's a horrible suggestion, it sounds like a teenage slumber party. Look, maybe you should choose?

It's a fine suggestion. Wouldn't want you to get in trouble for something like that though.
