❄ 001: staff paper: handwritten text

[The handwriting is fine, neat, and flowing, a practiced hand, remarkably consistent. Someone used to writing a lot. It seems as if the post is written on blank music sheets, the letters following the lines of the staff. The numbers are written first, then the same numbers translated into musical notes. Then the writing begins.]

It seems like everyone on the network has got these numbers in their heads, right? And there's all these strange things in the news but what I want to know is

Has anybody had, well, voices? In their heads?

I know it sounds crazy, but I guess if it is we've got good reason for it, huh?

[There's a smudge where someone wrote something, and then erased it to a smear.] _sorry

I have an appreciation for it, yes.

yeah? classical? rock? or all music?

All music has elements to appreciate, I've found. Even my favorites span a wide range of genres.

that's awesome. some people i've talked to only have one or two types they listen to and get huffy about other forms of music.

Huffy... or they try to be all superior. I can't tell you how many people I've known who say they absolutely won't listen to, say, country, for example, despite coming from the same roots as their beloved rock and roll and quite often crossing over into it.

people are ridiculous. i've played anything from blues to classical and even wrote a couple pieces that could be called 'anything and the kitchen sink' pieces to show off so not even sure why people just can't grow up.

Well there's preferences, which I very much understand. But then there's silliness, yes.

that's true, i know i like guitar rock more than most other music but still, there comes a point where you should experience other stuff as well.

And experience allows one to grow.

I have too many thoughts on the subdivision of the American music industry into genre-based tribes though.

i mean i like music that has a heavier guitar sound and less keyboard sound.

I find myself enamored of folk influences and melodic pop these days, though that has been different in the past.

those can be fun, although i get to the point where i need the guitars and heavy beat.

Ah, and then, to each their own, hm? ☺

naturally. not everyone likes the same sort of music, though i still think everyone should try them all.
