1st Howl [Text]
[Not all of the new forays onto the network are as exciting as the old man with his fax machine. This one, in fact, is really pretty boring. Randall Lyall is on his lunch break, sitting in his classroom with his laptop open, editing his notes for tomorrow's classes between bites of lunch. And, because it keeps getting stuck in his head, he idly types out those numbers that had been cycling around in there again, in the hopes of maybe this time getting them out.
Instead, anyone else who happened to be connected gets a screen-full (or paper-full, depending on how they're connecting) of notes about photosynthesis. The page is complete with page numbers in the textbook (most of chapter 8), notations on what slide numbers to use where (slide number 82 is apparently a picture of a plant with a high chlorophyll leaf compared to one with low chlorophyll), a list of questions to ask the class at various points (difference in chlorophyll function between pine and deciduous? anyone?), and the following line:]
Chloro-fill joke stop using this, never gets a laugh
[Enjoy the inner workings of a high school teacher's class, network. For those who have actually had his class, this should look somewhat familiar.]

[Those biology notes are still weighing heavily on his mind, if only because of all the green they involved. He'd tried very hard to resist the urge to search the Internet for answers on his sudden new condition, but all those notes are now making him wonder about cellular structure and that sort of thing. You can only ignore suddenly having green blood for so long...
...and suddenly he's talking to a guy he knows has access to microscopes. He can't pass up this opportunity.]
I...found something weird the other day, too. I'm not sure what it is.
[There's a pause. He's trying to steel his courage there, because part of him would rather not know and would rather go on pretending everything was fine.]
I know it's kind of sudden, but do you think I could borrow a microscope to take a look at it? It's probably nothing, but seeing those notes just made me kind of curious.
[Did that sound innocent enough? He hopes it sounded innocent enough...not that he'd ever been a very good liar.]
[Audio]
[Maybe not the most innocent, but Lyall is also not the most judgmental, when it comes to students and former students. He's curious, though that isn't the only reason he isn't about to let his microscopes out of the building. They're expensive, and the school would be furious if anything happened to them.]
Just let me know what day, so I can make sure to stay after a little.
[Audio]
[Great, not only is there going to be weirdness involved in the reason he's there, but there's also going to be the general weirdness that is returning to one's old high school after a long absence.]
When would be good for you? The restaurant's not too busy during those times; I should be able to come by any day.
((OOC: So how do you want to do this? I was planning on putting an open log/action post up tomorrow; I could add in an option at the school locked to Lyall and we could use that.))
Re: [Audio]
[That would give all this a little time to settle down, perhaps. And he hopes fervently that it does-- that it all disappears, and his new vitamins help the sun problem, and the numbers in his head go away.]
I can wait around here until about five.
[It will force him to get some grading done.]
[Audio]
[Maybe, if Hajime got lucky, his blood would go back to normal and he wouldn't even have to worry about it by then.
Not that he really thinks this is going to happen.]
[Audio]
Good. I will see you then? I ought to go, class is starting in a few minutes.
((ETA: finally noticing your OOC comment, pfft. that's fine, I'll just tag Lyall into your open scene :) no need to make a dedicated closed thread, I can just tag when I see it go up!))
[Audio]
See you then.
[And he'll hang up and hope the network thing just shuts itself off because he kind of needs that phone to function like a normal phone and not keep picking up weird bits of biology notes and things.]
((That'll work! It should go up soon as I knock out a few more tags.))
