Where: The museum that is attached to the town-hall of Füssen, specifically the Kaisersaal.
What: Mingle and happy welcome!

Through the usual channels, the mayor of Füssen has invited any and all numbered - no matter if they are only visiting for the evening/weekend and actually reside in Locke or Vegas or if they are staying for longer - to attend a little reception at the Kaisersaal in the town museum which is attached to the townhall.

Aka this snazzy room just with the chairs grouped around tables and no stage, though four musicians play quartets on a low podium at the side of the room. It's a very distinguished affair don't screw it up, you can do it, numbered! No, we don't know who believes that, either.

Mingle and eat and have fun!

And a note: Drinks are free! But the youngsters will get carded, and alcohol like beer will only be served to 16+ people, while spirits and other higher percentage booze will only be served to 18+ people.

"Eugen." Greetings, coworker... member of a list that is suddenly feeling much shorter. Kevin didn't exactly know him well, but Neil's loss is definitely something that's registering on his radar, and he's more than a little bit somber. "I won't ask if you're all right, but... it's reassuring to see you here."

[ He looks up at the sound of his name, and stands up despite wanting to remain seated. Kevin's choice is much appreciated by Eugen, who finds it too burdensome to answer after the third person asked. If he said no, it seem like he's putting the burden onto the them to console him but if he said yes, he felt pressured into putting up a show. So Kevin's consideration is something that Eugen is quietly grateful of. ] It's good to see you too, Kevin. [ He cracks a small smile, trying to keep the conversation up. ] It's one thing after another, huh?

[The smile reassures him a little, but he's still concerned.] It's hard to keep up. It feels like the last crisis just ended, and now here we are... I don't want to think about what's going to come down on this city. They never asked for this.

[ He sighs in agreement to Kevin's opinion. ] I suppose there's nothing we can do other than prepare for the eventually avoidable battle. That's all we can do to help them... How's thing on your end? [ After Eugen has more or less abandoned his FBI post since the battle an extended leave to mourn, he wonders what happened to the PR work that was once assigned to Neil and himself. Surely as the only other Numbered in FBI, Kevin must have been asked to pick up his slack. ]

That's not entirely true. I'd read some of the documents from before Locke exploded, literally. The thing they fought in the farmhouse... it was trying to reach the snake. I have a feeling things would have been worse if that had happened, and it was only their quick thinking that prevented it. The cult in Vegas might have resorted to more desperate measures if they hadn't had contact with us, and we gained some valuable information.

[He shakes his head.] Really... all of this is connected. It's not just about the end. It's about the entire time, from the lights in the sky to the monster bursting from the ground. We have to be vigilant, for all of it, and we have to keep getting stronger. Even if Locke isn't being nearly as helpful, now. We're having a hard time, as you probably expected, particularly with the mafia still running around. The Satterfield girl was almost killed and her father gunned down right in front of her, Serket brought a team here to explore... it's going to be hard to keep everything contained when it's all exploding so fast. Especially considering we don't exactly have jurisdiction here.

And that hasn't been the least bit helpful with Vegas's situation. As much as we try to be optimistic about the whole situation, nothing we have done has yield any sort of results that could clue us in. Rather than focusing on trying to figure out what's happening, I'll rather concentrate in doing what we can. [ Two weeks ago, Eugen would be saying the exact opposite but in the face of the recent battle and Neil's death, his point of view has taken downturn into pessimism. ]
