Today is "Talk Like a Pirate Day." I feel like I ought to do something for that. On the other hand, all those "pirate" trappings are completely ridiculous. Hook hands make for very poor penmanship, for instance.

Really? That'd be great! I'm in Locke.
So you had a ship, right? Of course you had a ship, you were a pirate. Was it big? Do you remember what it was called?

[Isabela pauses to think for a moment--thanks for the echo trigger, Robyn.]
...She was known as The Siren's Call. Big enough. Fast. Possibly stolen, depending on who you asked.

[She can't help but be a little curious about that. Most people had left Locke to get away from the Mafia, she didn't really know anyone leaving for anything else.]
Oh! It's Robyn, nice to meet you. I shouldn't be too hard to track down.
[She looks a little thoughtful herself while Isabela thinks, it's quickly replaced by a grin when she hears the name of the ship.]
Ooooooh~! That's a great name for a pirate ship! Captain Isabella of The Siren's Call. It has a nice ring to it.

Charmed, Robyn. I'm Isabela.
It does ring nicely, doesn't it? If a bit hollow, since I don't actually have it anymore. Though I'd have to leave the cities to have one, and that rather defeats the point, doesn't it?

Huh. I never really thought about that, yeah it would kind of suck to echo back a big old boat and not have anywhere that you can use it. Maybe if other places get the whole echo thing going we'll get a place with a beach, that'd be handy.

Fortunately, Locke isn't too far from the shoreline, but I still can't sail within an echo zone. Who knows, maybe one day a great big body of water will show up in the middle of one?

Yeah, having it stuck at the shores of Locke would be kind of lame, but you could always do tours of the ship? I bet tourists would love that, at least I know I would.
Vegas did end up taking on a bit of water, didn't it? It's possible there's more where that came from.
