It looks as if Karl-slash-Richard Locke is no longer one of us, as it were. He seems to have forgotten about everything, and didn't have any idea what I was talking about when I mentioned tomorrow night's problems. So if you regularly talk to him about network type things, I'd suggest not, for the foreseeable future... it could wind up finding the wrong ears.

[He sounds somewhere between annoyed, resigned, and actually a little nervous.]

It causes me a particular problem, as I was hoping he would help keep watch over me and my other werewolf friend tomorrow night, for the full moon. We really do need a second guard, given there's two of us now, and I really don't want my living room torn apart again. It's getting expensive.

It's only "better" if he sees nothing suspicious at the school that he might decide to report. Before, he wouldn't have passed along anything about those of us he knows from the network. Now... I'm going to have to be even more careful :(

So far, I have another potential werewolf and a student, the latter of which I'd rather die than allow anywhere near me on the full moon, and the former of which might change herself. You're looking better and better :P

[There's a long pause before he answers. Because now he feels kind of dumb for not thinking of it.]

I had not, actually. It didn't even occur to me.

[As he does think about it now, though, he finds some potential problems with the idea.]

I'd have to find a reason to be away overnight. It's not really something that I do, unless it's to visit my parents, and that's more than a single night's trip. There would have to be some compelling reason to keep me away until dawn, that I'd still remember once I'd forgotten about the whole werewolf thing. But I will have to think about it.

I have a place, thankfully. I spent a solid chunk of my savings on fortifying my house, particularly the room I lock myself in. But I might take you up on coming by to help guard the doors. Hajime needs backup.

I am sorry about Karl, though. I know this sets us back a bit, network-wise, with his opportunity to share things he sees.

I wish we could, too. It's terribly disconcerting to have someone suddenly not remember anything about you beyond the very basics. And fretting whether or not it might happen to you.
