27th Howl [Audio | Monday morning]

It looks as if Karl-slash-Richard Locke is no longer one of us, as it were. He seems to have forgotten about everything, and didn't have any idea what I was talking about when I mentioned tomorrow night's problems. So if you regularly talk to him about network type things, I'd suggest not, for the foreseeable future... it could wind up finding the wrong ears.

[He sounds somewhere between annoyed, resigned, and actually a little nervous.]

It causes me a particular problem, as I was hoping he would help keep watch over me and my other werewolf friend tomorrow night, for the full moon. We really do need a second guard, given there's two of us now, and I really don't want my living room torn apart again. It's getting expensive.

[Thus, there's a small, still-nervous sort of smile to his voice when he asks, hopefully:]

Anyone feeling up to a night of werewolf duty?

-- Okay - uhm. [Except for the regards in which that's obviously not okay.] I just uhh.

[He doesn't really have anything else to ask - everything is again, clearly, not exactly fine, and he's really got nothing to offer in this department...] I -- just wish I could - er -- say... something.

[Something potentially handy, that is, tone and look tinted tiredly, resignedly disappointed - not even so much apologetic on this one.]

[He's not going to dig anything deeper - more awkward, at least - by questioning that - twitches on a tiny polite smile.] Thank you - sir.

[He'd say the same, but Mr. Lyall has sent messages to the network since the last time they spoke - ] Should I -- uhm... Should I have - been -- ... checking in - more often...?

[Less disappointed, but still resigned, sort of cowed, mostly slightly lower even tone with enough of a turn upward at the end for a distinct question. Partly just to be saying something, still, however uncertain it is.]
