❧ 002 ❧ Digital Voice Recorder; Back-dated to September 5th
I don't know if this has been asked on here before, but... [There's a momentary pause, as if he was trying to assemble his words. A shaky exhale is heard before he continues.] Has anyone else experienced war 'pulses'?
[He could have ended it there, keep it short and simple. But there was a another thing on his mind, despite being rather reluctant to share it.]
...There's a possibility that I might not be human anymore.
[He could have ended it there, keep it short and simple. But there was a another thing on his mind, despite being rather reluctant to share it.]
...There's a possibility that I might not be human anymore.

[There's a pause, then:]
What sort of war?
[Audio]
[There's a pause, as if he was unsure how to interpret the question about war. His voice wavers slightly.]
If you're asking me for details, I can't give you much.
[Audio]
Your echoes have been quite clear, then? There are some that seem vague. What gave you the feeling that you may become like him?
[The wavering does make him pause, however.]
I suppose I was asking for details, yes. Do you have any information? Time period, location?
[Audio]
[He won't name names, since that happened the last time he chatted with Anthony.
As for the details, there's some reluctance from him. He really didn't want to revisit that memory.]
...I don't know when or where it was. All I can remember is...
[He switches to a notepad, which he draws a simplistic version of a uniform from 1763 before returning to the digital voice recorder.]
That.
[He chose not to include the more graphic portion of his echo. It would for the best, just in case someone who was younger stumbled across this by accident.]
[Audio]
[He's... quite curious about all of this, obviously, and it's making him not terribly cautious with his questioning.
There is a pause as he examines the uniform, though after a few moments, he shakes his head.]
Difficult to place without more detail. Quite clearly of a past time period, however, which is similar to others I've heard.
[Audio]
[Taking a moment to calm down, a bit of an exhale escapes him and a concerned meow is heard in the background.]
...I can't give you more than that.
[Audio]
[Sadly, he's on a roll, and isn't easing up with his questions.
Well, until the exhale, and the statement about not being able to give him more. That wakes him up, just a little.]
These echoes are quite difficult, at times, they remain frustratingly vague. Or others, they are far too detailed.
[Audio]
[He will share that bit, but nothing more -- well, maybe. There was various other answers scattered about to other network members, if Ratchet cared to investigate.
It's noticeable that his voice has become dejected and quiet.]
Yes. I have to agree with that.
[Audio]
[There's a moment of silence, as Benjamin considers the tone.]
You aren't the only one with a frustratingly vague and yet far too detailed echo. Or, for that matter, the only one to remember a war.
[Audio]
[There's a bit of an exhale, his voice is still quiet.]
That was the point of me asking in the first place.
[Audio]
You've received affirmative answers, then?
