[Here's a number that hasn't popped up in a while.]

Forgive me for not being on the network more as of late. Certain family emergencies have taken me out of town for a brief time. ... I'm sure you all understand what that means in terms of remembering things. I've been making up a few exams and such since.

[A few minutes goes by, then:]

I believe I have come to a rather difficult decision. It's for the best for now I feel.

[And onward to the meat of this typed up bit of a post.]

It is my intention now more than ever given the events surrounding the sage to continue forward with plans. Time is growing short if what the sage says is true so I would like to plan some form of group meeting in the next few weeks.

I don't believe it could hurt to at least try. Given everything that occurred, it seems rather careless to leave that bit of information not thoroughly investigated.

What kind of plans are we talking about here? I'm all for preparation, but I need full details just in case.

I spoke on the network towards the end of May about forming an collective among the numbered on the network. Not a fighting force or anything like that, though those who do wish to fight are welcome. Instead I would like to see people sharing information with one another with the goal of ultimately finding a way to stop the invasion.

Or fight against it, if we must.

Oh, I think I've skimmed through a post about the collective once. I just didn't remember much else. So you think the gems that sage mentioned could really be the key to stopping this invasion?

A few of us borrowed some drones to investigate the mine and I don't know about others, but I've checked everything we can without digging and found no clues at all.

Any plans made concerning seeing if that gem exists are definitely going to require some resources beyond just time spent.

Some expressed a desire to have face to face meetings. I only assume some might be more comfortable with this if they mistrust the network in some way.

If you would rather hold ones via skype then that is certainly an option as well. I have no problem with either, either jointly at once or separately.

Not a great deal, I'm afraid. There have been the incidences with the large statue and the ones that were exhibited afterward, as well as the 'negotiations' online and now this incident with the Sage. The idea of who we are up against is still vague, except for what the Sage has said and what the invaders - if it was them after all - said during the negotiations.

It's difficult to say really without further investigation. I can't bring myself to rule them out, if only because they are the one lead we currently have.

Not sure I'd be able to actually make it. [Being eleven is hard for something like this. A "school club" is one thing, but excuses for suddenly hanging out with random adults are a little more awkward to come by.] I still think it's a good idea, though.

Even if he didn't say it very well, that one guy has a point, getting a group of us together seems risky. We'd have to at least expect that these invaders might come after us.

It might be a good idea though. I wasn't there in the mine but I don't think it would be a good idea to ignore what that Sage said.

Both of you have a very good point. Perhaps Skype would be a better tool or keeping smaller meeting sizes as well.

A friend of mine brought up the idea of using Swords & Machines as an excuse. Perhaps a gaming club or a tabletop gaming team with varied meeting schedules may work better as a cover.
