So I'm going to be going on a trip to see my cousins soon and I was thinking that there has to be some way to get around that whole "forgetting every important thing" BS. So I've been writing out pretty intense notes, writing down everything I don't want to forget and going to bring that with me so I'll at least have that, and I want some of you guys to keep in touch. I'll be in Japan so texting is kinda iffy, but I'll be checking my mail a bunch, so you guys can just text me though that.

Because seriously, just my luck to have to leave for a week right when we get the main quest, right?

I have about 5 pieces of a 1,000 piece puzzle. [[said flatly as he leans back in his chair.]]

There was a battle in one of the tombs, that [[expletive]] priest had lured me down there and basically challenged me to a monster battle.

[professorwolf]

I think that's probably all of us.

[Not flat, but definitely dry, there. Lyall has probably more of a picture than some, but less of the "other person" and more of the place where he lives.]

But that challenge is new. What happened? Or do you know?

No... it kinda cut off after the posturing.

...and it's not new. Got that one back when we were facing those police dogs. And it's been the modern era flashbacks since.

...minus the Egyptian. But that wasn't memory theatre.

[professorwolf]

Well, I meant it's new to me. I don't think you've told me about it.

[He appreciates Bakura calling them police dogs instead of werewolves, though. There's a lot of people still calling them werewolves, and he's had to twitch every time to keep from challenging that name. Though while they're on the subject, after a pause, he has to ask:]

Did you get any new ones in the mine?

Fun fact: in the Star Wars universe, there's a planet named Bakura ;)

[[Hey, he may be blunt more often than not, but he does keep the feelings of his friends in mind! Mostly.]]

[A nod]] Two, I think. One when everything went to hell and I have no idea when the second kicked in, just that suddenly I was cursing in Egyptian. [[a shrug]] But I know it wasn't that one because that one was back to the battle for Bakura time period.

it's an easily adaptable name!

[professorwolf]

Mmm. Everyone I've spoken with seems to have, at least one, if not two. I don't think I did, or if I did, nothing obvious has come of it.

[Everything had been so chaotic, he could have probably mistaken the feeling for fear or excitement, right...?]

No new languages when you curse?

[professorwolf]

No new languages, period. Though I've already learned how to swear in Spanish and Japanese, just not from any kind of extra.

[No, he just picks that up from his students.]

I think I might not wind up with any, in the end. The fellow I'm getting visions from is British, after all.

[shiromadoushi]

Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. [[smiles]] Though it could just mean you get a flashback and suddenly you're all cockney and 'allo gov'na and all that stuff no one says. [[an impish grin there.

His fingers are also now tapping out the tune of "Werewolves of London" including a long slide for the "awooooooooooOOOO!"]]

[professorwolf]

[Lyall winces.]

If I do that, please find a way to make me stop. Though at least what little I've heard of his voice doesn't sound quite that bad. More-- more cultured.

[And a lot like his own, but he's been conveniently glossing over that as much as he can. The accent helps.]

[shiromadoushi]

[[A small laugh]] That's good at least. Mine... Well, the Egypt one sounds pretty raw, a lot like the arrogant modern one, and the modern wobby sounds like me from middle school. Barely says anything far as I can tell.

[professorwolf]

So-- wait, is there three? Or do you think two of those people are actually the same?

[Since he says two sound a lot alike. Perhaps they are, then? Three people in one head sounds... very crowded, to him.]

[shiromadoushi]

Unless Egyptian me turned into a ghost and went to the land of card games and death games... [[trails off with a shrug]]

It feels like three... [[finishes softly, fingers tapping on the table again.]]

[professorwolf]

That sounds... uncomfortable.

[It takes him a minute to come up with the word he wants, there. Yup.]

Are you all right? Just in general?

[shiromadoushi]

I don't know.. [[it's an honest admittance]] It's bothering me. So far, everyone seems to have just one source for these flashbacks and here I am with 3... and the ones where I'm fighting myself... I don't like it.

[professorwolf]

[And the fact that he does admit to it makes Lyall concerned, indeed. He can't reach him to grip a shoulder or, god forbid, offer a hug, but he can at least say:]

If there's ever anything I can do... even if it's just listen to you talk about them and try to work things out a little, don't ever be afraid to call, all right? It's got to be harder for you, like that, than the rest of us.

[shiromadoushi]

[[Bakura nods, tapping his fingers on the table again, though it's a more distracted pattern than the agitated one from before.]]

No... it's harder for the ones who are changing physically... [[it's said softly.]] I can hide this...

[professorwolf]

[Oh, the irony of what happens the week after this, too.]

You may be able to hide it, certainly. But that doesn't mean it isn't hard on you to be getting such conflicting visions and abilities.

[shiromadoushi]

[[the tapping on his fingers continued, a touch of something almost like agitation driving them]]

Something like this is nothing...

[[He's hid so many bigger things before.]]
