Mission - Pancakes / Backdated to the morning of April 3rd
Who: Tony and anyone awake at Willow Ridge after the Kidnapping Incident
What: Demon be hungry, so that means pancakes for all.
Where: Willow Ridge kitchen
When: Morning of April 3rd, after Nathan's rescue
Warnings: Possibly some recollections of violence, but otherwise only pancakes. Maybe eggs. We'll see.
Dressed in jeans and a light T-shit, one could almost forget just the night before he'd been barely able to walk under his own power and bleeding all over himself. Quite the change, though watching closely it was still evident Tony was a little tender and sore. Moving stiff and careful while he cooked.
As it turned out, healing was hungry business. Fortunately Willow Ridge was equipped with a well enough stocked kitchen, and Tony with a little skill instilled by Hajime. Despite his best efforts, he still couldn't really use chopsticks with any kind of efficiency. Fortunately pancakes only required a spatula.
Stacks of them, in fact. The first attempts, under-cooked or over had already been eaten, but now he was on a roll. Why not ask him why he's cooked so much, or join in to help devour the abundance? Surely, he figured, the others would wake soon and they'd be hungry as well. Though likely Tony was far over-estimating their hunger by comparing it to his own.

"They're exes for a reason. Besides, if someone is going to send me a severed horse's head and vague threats I'd like to have a heads up." Hurr hurr, Tony that is the worst pun to date. He just shoots Shou a baffled look and a shrug at the squint, he doesn't get it either. And don't look at him like that he din't put her up to it!

She can tell they're getting sick of her prying, but it's hard to stop. "I guess so... I wouldn't like it if I had a boyfriend and he talked about his ex-girlfriends like that in front of me, it would seem like he wasn't over them. And I would never talk about my ex-boyfriends to someone I was dating, unless they did something crazy."
no subject
"Most of my exes are crazy," he said once he could breath. Oh he needed to have a laugh after the worry of the night before. "I had one that published all our sexual exploits in a tell-all book of hers. Course, it was found out that she stole over half of the book from someone else, but really, I've had crazy exes. Tony needs a little warning about them."
He then turned his head, brushing his lips against Tony's cheek. "We're good though, aren't we?"

At first Shou's laughter catches him off guard, and Tony turns to watch him with an expression a mixture of confusion and surprise. Though that quickly dissolves into some amused chuckling, Shou you're tired.
"Well, see? Exactly, they're mostly crazy," And of the ones that aren't he still kind of likes to know. Gotta learn to brace himself, you know? "Besides, don't you like knowing what you're getting into before you take the leap?" As much as he likes surprises heartbreak is one he'd rather be able to brace for thank you.
Of course Shou's kiss effectively assuages much of his uncertainty and confusion, and Tony just beams like he just got the best gift in the world. Don't mind him busy being delighted over here. "'Course we are."
Well, mostly. But the rest can wait he's just going to enjoy the relaxing and comforting breakfast with the people he cares about.

"If- if you say so."

"There's nothing wrong in admitting that you have a past to your current lovers. I never understood why people always act like there is. I mean, a used car can be just as good if not better than a new one."
no subject
"But what if you have too many miles?" Tony rumbled in amusement, elbowing Shou gently in between an unreasonably large mouthful of pancake. His manners are distinctly lacking when he feels like he's starving to death.

He is pretty much sleepy talking by this point. sooner or later he was just going to pass out into one pile of dorky vampire unless someone tried to wake him up.
no subject
"If you say so," Tony teased, grinning mischievously over at his cat-like shoulder drape. "I'll take your word for it." He does make a content little noise at the lick, but nothing further out of concern for Misa's comfort. She's a squeaking bashful mess as it is, best not to make her any more uncomfortable.
Casually he pats Shou's let with his free hand. "You didn't have to stay up for me you know, but thanks. We'll get you back to bed soon." Once he's done feeding everyone, that is. Then back to sleep for a while.
Is it his turn to carry Shou?
no subject
"Get a room," she manages to choke out.

Or drown if she keeps trying to inhale the water, sheesh. Let him eat then it can be bedtime okay Shou?

"Listen to your boyfriend, he has manners!"

He snickers along with Shou's giggle fit, highly amused at the whole situation, but in a moment he feels Shou go limp and blinks over at him in confusion. "Huh..?" Oh, yeah, no he definitely fell asleep. "Would you look at that? Conked right out." His tone is fond.
Still going to at least finish this plate, Shou's fine where he is.
no subject
"There's lots of extra rooms here," Misa says in a whisper, not wanting to wake him up for a variety of reasons. "If you want to move him."
no subject
"He's got one here that's already darkened, stays here every now and then. I'll drag him down there after I've finished, really gotta refuel feel like I'm starving to death." He echoes the quiet tone, and is careful not to shift or move too much while the vampire snoozes on his shoulder. At least Tony can fuel up on pancakes and not blood.
no subject
She watched him continue to inhale pancakes with some trepidation.
no subject
No vampires skulking about trying to nibble on you, Misa. Tony has no idea what happened while he was off getting himself shot and douses with acid, but he's sure Shou's said something to set her on the intensely nervous kick she's in right now. Soooo hungry, but he's almost done he'll leave you alone soon.

"I know last night probably didn't paint anyone in a very good light, but Shou's one of the most generous and genuinely kind people I've ever met. And trust me, I've met a lot of douchebags."
no subject
"No offense, Tony, but you're a little biased," she points out, eyes going to the sleeping Shou currently snuggled up to his side. "He talks about hunting people like we're animals. How am I supposed to trust someone like that?"
no subject
He shrugs, and with the all the grace of a vacuum cleaner hoovers up the rest of his plate. He'd like more, but sleeping Shou has made the decision for him, sigh. "He's a big part of why I've stuck out this numbered bullshit so long, and that was way before hooking up was ever even an option so don't look at me like that. This is recent."
He snorts, and raises his eyebrow at the sleeping man. "Did he? Pfeh, big talk. Besides, he goes after scumbags. Criminals, mobsters, people like that."
no subject
"I don't need to know details."
The knowledge that he goes after criminals makes her feel a little bit safer, but not as secure as Tony seems to think it should.
