Why aren't more people going through these um warp holes? They should be mapped. "There are flying weird animals sometimes" isn't a good keep-out sign, if you ask me. Besides, most of them are harmless.

[She yelps! -One flew too close and startled her.] -Just annoying.

Well, this one is is behind the burned-out Safemart. But there's one on our roof that you can't see unless you're right there, too, and I know I've seen some more. They come out in totally different-looking places!

I've only been in normal places. [Behind him, she can spot some tropical jungle. Disappointing. Not that going to other countries wasn't cool, and isn't cool, but to think that there was a place so much more exotic to be found... Right at their house, too, without the trouble of getting into a pub at night, alone and as a minor.]

What do they look like? [Maybe there is one around him here, too...

Some look different! Try a ripple in the air, or a weird door that wasn't there before, or there's one I can't reach, it looks like a thread circle and the sky's a little lighter through it.

Yes! Since those lights went up. Maybe before! They go to this weird green space and asteroids dimension, and then there's warp holes back, but those can go like anywhere. I found one to somewhere in the sea, I don't know how deep.

Not gonna go through it, though. I'm not that curious.

Well yeah, that would have been maybe a little disasterous. But wow, an alternate dimension! Are the holes easy to spot?

Yeah!

Well. Some of them. They all look different, in the real world. All the ones I know are kinda tucked out of the way. If you see something ripply in the air, that's a likely sign. Or a door or archway that seems off, or wasn't there before.

I believe one of the primary initial concerns was the general lack of a coherent ground structure. However it has been some time since they appeared. I may be misremembering.

That just means it takes more work. Maybe it can't make this like coherent whole, but even so.

A valid point. For my part, I'd prefer to leave it to those who might be better suited to traversing such an environment. But I can see the advantage in such a place all the same.

Cool. Yeah, this is the kind of thing I like doing for fun anyway, so I'm good at it. Having a bunch of people try would get them hurt.

My fiancee and I can make portals like that with entry and exit points anywhere we want them... and without having to actually travel inside them. But we cheat a little bit. So we never really needed that other zone.

See, that sounds convenient, but also like less fun. That's not spontaneous at all! And these, I'm not sure you need to have a number to use them. Huh.

Of course! You just have to avoid anything that feels dangerous and you're gold. [she echoed a danger-sense.]

I don't mind fun, but sometimes I would prefer knowing where I'm going - and getting there right away - over having a good time getting there. When I'm bleeding out, say.

..."Feels" dangerous, though? Unless you have a very sharp intuition, I'm not sure you're going to get a lot off a door or a hole in space.

Well, yeah. The convenience factor.

I do, but like, it's a real feeling. Kind of this change in the air, same as when there's a monster around.

Actually I don't know. It's like all green and black space and floating rocks, mostly. Doors. Things on the rocks. I found one that was like an island and had plants and stuff.

They're scattered around all over the place, but so far none of them are really obvious. They're like... look for a door that shouldn't be there or is weird, or like a circle you can step through that just seems different.
