[On screen is Danny, shoulders squared and looking ready to make a huge announcement. Mostly because he is. He takes a breath.]

I...haven't been honest with you all. Not for a long time. The truth is, I've been keeping a lot of secrets.

I like to act like everything is all okay, but it's really not. I just act like it because I hope that if I pretend like I'm fine, then it means eventually I will be. Or even if I'm not, then at least I try to keep it to myself to keep others from worrying about me. Because that's supposed to be my duty as a "hero."

[Yes, Danny does actually use fingerquotes when he says the word hero. If you listen closely, you might also detect some annoyance in his tone.]

That's why I went missing for over a month without telling anyone except for leaving some notes behind, and why I act like I'm just some regular happy teenager who doesn't worry about--

[Danny turns to the left and leans warily but doesn't stop talking. His volume grows gradually until it's a full-blown scream while he braces himself.]

--about his whole family being dead, or about being homeless, or turning into a huge scary evil monster of destruction, or all the people he's ACCIDENTALLY KILLED, OR THE FACT THAT HE'S BEEN CLO--oof!

[Another Danny dives across the screen from the left and full-on tackles the first Danny. The camera shakes and lands on the floor, revealing one Danny pinning the other to the floor in Danny's now dusty and furnitureless old bedroom. The post ends abruptly.]

[Well, uh... This was hardly something she was expecting to see over the network!] But still, she caught it all.

Someone should probably get over there and stop the fight... Might as well be her. So, without another word to anyone, the vampire heads out the door, grabbing her parasol if she needs it, and making her way to where she thought Danny's house would be as quickly as she can...

...Which turns out to be faster than she expected.]

[Danny is struggling under the other Danny's grip, but not too much. He seems more or less fine to be trapped like this, wrists held down and legs locked in. The Dannies are talking at a level just below shouting.]

What do you think you're doing?! How much did you even say?

[The Danny on the bottom responds:] What do you think I'm doing? I'm fixing the mess you made for yourself!

[She wasn't entirely sure where they were, but her hearing picked up the sound of their fighting easily, leading her right to the old Fenton house. If the doors are locked, she'll enter in mist form. If not, she'll barge on through the open door.

Either way, the first thing she's going to do is attempt to pull off the Danny pinning the other down.]

Okay, enough! Let's not kill anyone unless you have to.

[gogoghostpowers]

[He wriggles out of her grip as soon as he's pulled off, but doesn't make a move to tackle the other Danny again.]

I wasn't going to. I just needed to get him to shut up.

[By now, both Dannies have picked themselves up and are standing a good ten feet apart. One has a look of anger on his face, and the other a strange mix, something between annoyance and pity.]

[ Walter has been checking the network continuously, just in case. Someone might spot his horse, and he needs to be informed. But now he's finding something... well...

Something that makes him freeze and stare at his cell phone. He can't keep quiet. ]

Danny, no--!

[ Distracted while driving. He crashes right into a concrete pole. The response cuts off as soon as the airbags deflate, which, of course, only happened after his head smacked into the steering wheel. ]

[Both Dannies freeze upon hearing the video response. The real Danny--the one on top--crawls off for just a minute to pick up the phone that fell down in the altercation and bring it closer to him.

The video response has both of their faces in it, the doppelganger just barely stretching to glance at the commotion. The real Danny speaks.]

...Walter? Are--are you okay?

[ When Walter comes back, he's got a nosebleed, and he looks dazed. And like he's spent the last several hours crying, and he's drained, but. But -- ]

Fine. Just --

[ He takes a few moments to move somewhere safe-ish. ]

You. You both. I'm -- I'm coming over.

[The two Dannies stare at each other before looking back at the camera. The doppelganger opens his mouth.]

[The doppelganger has reached for the phone despite his uncomfortable position. He hasn't managed to grasp it properly just yet, but he's hit it enough to turn it back on and keep broadcasting as it did before it fell. It's hard to see, because his hand keeps grasping at the device, but it's fairly easy to hear everything.]

You can't just go--say things like that!

Yeah, well you can't keep lying! Come on, we both know it. You're miserable as you are now, I'm doing you a favor here!

Th--that's not true! You might think you're me, but you aren't, you're just some...some cheap substitute! You don't know anything about me!

Hey! [Well, that last part got a rise out of Rakka, enough that she shouted at the screen. Her voice, soft and reserved, could be pretty loud when she wanted it to be.]

He's you, dumbass! He probably knows what he's talking about.

[They both freeze for a moment as they realize the phone is still on. The Danny on top grabs the phone.]

He's not me! I'm a real person with real memories. He's just some--some--carbon copy!

[She just pops up on the video, watching the Danny vs. Danny match after listening to DoppelDanny's whole thing with a... horribly unimpressed look on her face.]

[It's the real Danny who grasps at the phone and glares into it, looking quite unpleased.]

[If Danny thinks he's looking displeased he's got nothing on the scowl on this girl's face.]

And don't try to give me any bullshit or I'm gonna come down there and fuckin' feed both of you the other guy's ass!

[Normally he'd stall for giving an answer, but thankfully Raye gave him an easy out--by distracting him.]

[Slightly muffled, the doppelganger chimes in:] Yuck!

[They don't see the video, not from the angle they're at when the phone isn't so easy to see, but they do hear the audio coming from it. And they both freeze.]

...Lily?

[Her confused expression gives way to concern, and she frowns a little bit.]

Well, at least yours isn't evil. All of that stuff, though...

Is he right?

[He blinks, not expecting that to get brought up of all things.]
