Christmas Island is so humid. It's nice though, not too hot...

Anyway. Guys, you know stuff's going on here, right? People've been going into sort of fits and wrecking their stuff. It's got so bad the military's come in to start locking them up. And I keep seeing mushrooms everywhere. I'm told they're new. They're bigger the farther I go over the jungle, I've seen them as big as my head.

The sigil to get here on the teleporter is a mushroom. Think this could be bad?

Destroying their stuff, throwing things in the ocean. It's really weird.

I do wonder if I could convince one to take a trip with me.

Well it's an echo zone so for all we know this is the equivalent to the grinches and santas, or the swan animals and doubles. Maybe spores are doing this? I don't see anything like that but even I don't see *every* thing.

Not so far. Nothing's taken an interest in me and I haven't decided to do anything weird, yet. But I haven't touched the mushrooms.

I'd suggest you keep it that way. I did, once, and it wasn't pleasant.

I imagine they were a different sort, but that's besides the point.

Yes and no. I was old enough to know better, and still thought myself young enough to endure.

That didn't keep me from losing half a day, and waking up in the back of someone's van. It was an interesting time.

Wow! Yeah I never did anything like that! Did try acid once. Not at all my thing though.

Anyway no I'm not going to eat any of these. Or smoke them. Probably that would get some kind of nasty pulse.

Yikes. Really rather not! This place is so nice!

Oh, definitely. This needs to be looked at. If a giant monster shows up here - well, there's basically zero Numbered presence and they could evacuate, but it would be such a shame.

Dang, I guess I'll see who all is interested in figuring it out and... I dunno, maybe come along. It depends.

If nothing else the weather is mostly lovely here. Southern Hemisphere, you know.

The ocean is quite nice. It's too cold around Locke, most of the time.

I still go swimming but yeah, it's... not great.

Cold. It's warm here though! Still such a godawful time getting salt out of my feathers...

That would be dignified, so no.

Actually they're huge goofballs who squeak and whistle. The eagle scream you hear in movies? Yeah that's dubbed over by red-tailed hawks.

But, no. Not a bird of prey.
