{004} Log: White Day [CLOSED]

Who: Misa Amane + Lazarus, Cesar, Emilia, and Stefan.
What: It's reverse-White Day! A chance to thank those who have helped her out so far.
Where: Various houses in Locke City and Las Vegas

It was a little unorthodox to be giving chocolate instead of receiving it on White Day, but since no one else here seemed to have even heard of the holiday before, Misa figured that she could take some liberties. She really did feel bad for not using Valentine's Day as an opportunity to thank those who had taken her in and helped her out in this strange new city, even though she'd had a pretty decent excuse for laying low during that time. There was a lot that she owed the people here, and if nothing else White Day could function as a delayed Numbered appreciation day this year.

A small package of handmade chocolates in hand, Misa visited the homes of those she felt most indebted to one by one. She had prepared a little box for each of them; nothing fancy, just chocolate fudge squares dusted with cocoa. Maybe store bought would have sufficed, but Misa thought they all deserved a personal touch.

Some addresses were harder to come by than others, but one way or another Misa approached each door with a firm knock, and waited.

"I wouldn't blame you if you got jealous... If I can get him to clean up a bit, he looks so gorgeous." Still nommong those chocolates. The way she talks about him, though, along with that glow about her... She's fallen for him hard.

"So, how about you? Have you got a guy in your life?"

Misa giggles, charmed by clear infatuation in how Remelia talks about her boyfriend.

"No, nothing like that right now. But I'll be sure to keep my hands to myself."

Emi won't eat all the chocolates in one go. Instead she'll now invite Misa inside her home.

"Want to continue this inside?"

"That would be great!" Misa says with undisguised enthusiasm. She has to know what a house like this looks like on the inside! "Thank you."

Her mom might get annoyed that she invited someone in without telling her, but since she's a fellow Numbered.

"It's not trouble at all. You're a guest, after all, and just brought me a lovely gift." Emilia will now lead Misa through the main hall and to the left where a sitting room awaits.

"I'm really glad you're enjoying them," Misa says as she walks in, trying to be inconspicuous in her staring. "This is... quite the place!"

While she does notice the staring, she doesn't at all mind it. She likes it when people are in awe of her wealth.

"Ah, would you like tea?" Emi asks, entering the sitting room.

"That would be great," Misa replies, making her way over to an armchair and standing next to it awkwardly. Are they allowed to sit? Is this one of those weird no-touching things room that rich people seem to have?

"Take a seat, I'll get one of our servants to bring us tea."
Well, uh... Emi thought sitting rooms were for sitting in. Misa might be happy to know she can sit in any chair she likes. Well, except for Emi's favorate chair.

Misa does as she's told, eyes widening even further at the mention of servants. Where are they even. What is the magical place?

"Have you always lived like this...?"

"For... as long as I remember, actually. How do you like your tea?"

Here comes one now. Emi doesn't have many, but they're good at their jobs

"Wow... Ah, with sugar, please," she answers, trying not to gape too openly.

Well then, she relays the instructions to the maid, who gets to work. Now, if only she had Celine working for her...
"Oh my... You're really not used to a place like this, are you?"

"Is it that obvious?" Misa asks, giggling with a hint of an embarrassed flush. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not destitute or anything... but I've really never been in a place like this before."

[scarlet_devil]

"A little, yes," she giggles, goodnaturedly. A first for everything, it seems.

Before long, the tea arrives, and the set was set down on the coffee table that lay before the two friends. "Ah, here we are."

"Thank you," Misa says to the servant, before reaching down to pick up the kettle and pour herself a cup.

"Was this a strange place to grow up? It seems like things were relatively normal in this area until recently."

[scarlet_devil]

"Hmm? Oh, I didn't grow up here, but I meant in houses like it. I've been living in America for a few years... First in Locke, but after the mafia attacks, my parents moved here." She thanks her servant and does the same.

"Oh! Wow, so you've been in lots of houses like this?" Misa asks. That's kind of even more daunting, though the accent should have tipped her off. "Where did you grow up?"

[scarlet_devil]

"In a few places... In my first years of life, I lived in Romania... My family benefited from the good economy around the start of the century. We moved to France after a few years when one of my aunts married. After she got divorced, we moved to Locke, then to here because of the Mafia."

[lovesickkiller]

"The Mafia??"

Misa stops with the teacup halfway to her mouth, obviously shocked. "Is it a dangerous area? That's where I'm staying..."

[scarlet_devil]

"Not anymore. You see, Locke's mafia?" The vampire grins, in a rather unsettling way. "They're suffering from a severe case of death."

Guess who helped?

Well that is... a rather frightening grin. Misa averts her eyes and takes a sip from her tea, reporter instincts failing her. There's a story there, to be sure, but Emilia has both the power and affluence to make Misa disappear, so she won't be prying.

Emi was kind of known to be involved since she had fought alongside a few other Numbered, her boyfriend included.
"They were a threat to all of us Numbered. They had to go."

[lovesickkiller]

"Right," Misa agrees, not wanting to get on her bad side or start an argument over this. "I'm glad we're not in danger from them anymore."

"I'm sure more troubles would bee heading out way, but all you have to worry about are ghost wolpertingers and those black monsters."
