[Lyall enters four numbers into the Word document he's been using as his compilation of network communications, one at a time. Banagher Links, Ryuo Bakura, Anthony Janvier, and Kenji Kobayashi, even though the latter of those hasn't actually communicated with Lyall over the network. Each of his high school students receives the same message:]

This is Mr. Lyall. We need to talk. Please come by my classroom today (Saturday) at sunset if you can. Reply to this to let me know if you can get here, need a ride, or have a prior commitment.

[He sends out anther one for former students, namely Kallie Raydan, Robb Stark, and Hajime Aikawa:]

Are you all right? Have you run into any trouble since last night? I'm having a meeting for current students today at the school, if you want to come and talk about safety tips and plans.

I think it might be important that we do. I visited the police station this morning and found some decidedly strange things.

[[there's a long pause]]

What the hell were you doing there after that? You could have been killed!

No, no trouble...I think I had one of those visions like you were talking about, but I'm fine. Have you noticed anything else?

[He's thinking about it and generally trying to sound tougher than he actually feels at that point. Meeting other people involved in this mess doesn't sound like a bad idea. It'll let him know what he's dealing with.]

Yeah, I'll try to come. What time?

I went as a concerned teacher with a lead on arson at Paul Ben's house. No one suspected me of anything but being slightly pushy and over-wrought about my favorite student. It was important that I visit. I can explain in person.

I'll come. Definitely -- thank you, Mr. Lyall.

You still shouldn't have gone! You have to be careful!

I'm not even gonna ask how you knew about me. The way things are going...man.

I am being careful, I promise. But I will not let any more of my students die, either.

It seems you were right about this being something important. Will you come?

[[a slight pause]]

Oh.

Yeah, I'll come.

I may have noticed something else, my own first of these "visions". I'm not sure what it was.

Good, thank you. I'll see you at my classroom at sunset, then.

Good, thank you. I'll see you tonight.

K, c ya then.

Don't do anything stupid until then, okay?

I promise. I am not even planning on leaving the house.

You're there now?

I am. It seems to be perfectly safe so far.

[[There's a knock at your door, Lyall. Will you answer it?]]

[The unexpected knock makes Lyall jump, and it takes him a minute to slow his heartrate down enough to consider opening it. He moves to the door, gives a sniff at the crack, and abruptly relaxes and turns back the locks to open up.]

Bakura, you just about scared the life out of me. Come in. How did you even know where I live?

I'll be there. You need me to bring anything?

[Not that he knows what he could possibly bring that would help.]

Mine was kind of weird...mostly unpleasant. Not at all useful.

Agreed...

[Said a bit weakly, but it's true all the same. Ohh, having a trusted adult to follow at a time like this.]
