[He didn't really want to do a video but. He feels like he owes it to everyone to do one. So here is the face of one (1) Jovan Burzek, looking unusually shy and awkward.]

Hi, everybody. Um, I guess I just...wanted to apologise for all the things I've said. And--and done, to everyone here since getting on the network. It was really rude, and uncalled for, and...if I ever actually hurt anyone's feelings, I didn't really mean to. Sorry.

And, uh...if there's anything I can do to make it up to you, I'll do my best. So...if anyone needs me, I'll be around Locke, trying to move back in with my dad.

[Action - Locke]
[True enough to his word, doppelJovan can be found often enough wandering the streets of Locke. He's been running all sorts of errands lately--trying to keep his dad from freaking out too bad after finding out his only son is actually alive, getting food and other materials for tidying up, trying to see about re-enrolling at LCU...

So there's a pretty high chance that another network person might run into him at some point. Except instead of the loud suit that's become characteristic of him, he's in some low-key attire: a big woolen sweater, a knit hat, and his old glasses.]

[Action - Germany]
[Of course, he still needs to go back to the castle for a while every day. He doesn't know why or what he even intends to do here, but he can't help but keep coming back here. So mostly he can be found just about anywhere around the castle, typically absorbed in a pile of books and pamphlets. Most of them have to do with filing procedures for the deceased.]

[Lily stares, mouth moving at first but nothing coming out.

Oh wow.

This must be a clone, if hers acted the complete opposite of herself.]

Ah... that's- that's okay, really! It's not like you really... hurt anyone...?

Oh, good. Good. I wasn't--I didn't know how seriously people took me then. It was all just supposed to be a joke, but I was never quite sure if people actually knew that or not.

[At first he's not sure what to make of this - it was rather unexpected - but considering how Jovan usually was rather abrasive, it was kind of a nice change.]

That's... well, I want to say 'that's okay' but dude, sometimes you're really off the deep end with the weird insults. I appreciate the apology though.

[Oh thank god, at least one person's forgiven him. He releases an audible sigh of relief, and then a moment later shrugs meekly, looking as if he's folding in on himself as he does it.]

I guess you could say the insults are a talent. Not a very good talent to have, though.

Yeaaah, that's not a good talent, no. Seriously you should work on that.

[Pause.]

So why the change of heart? Just curious.

I can do plenty of other things! Like the magic--that was always real.

But I changed because...I suppose because I was thinking about it and it's...it just seemed like a worse way to live.

[What he wants to say is: he'd rather work to surround himself with people who at least seem like they care than actively push everyone away all the time.]

Dude you can do magic? What kind of magic?

[He... never knew that. Must be Jovan's superpower.]

Well I can say good for you, man, if you want pull off the change. Old habits and all.

Small stuff, mostly--turning things into other things or changing what they say.

[In demonstration, he grabs a napkin from out of frame, crumples it in his hands, and when he opens them again, there's a party blower in his palms.]

It's...kind of the only reason I managed to get that job as a Vegas magician.

...That's pretty sweet. I don't think I have anything like that. I can just see really far and hear like, dog whistles and stuff.

[Pause.]

Oh yeah and I can tell what animals want. I guess that's pretty cool too... Where do you work?

[Even though he's mostly living in Vegas these days, Arthur still stops by Locke pretty often to check in on Fluke, the dolphin friend he's got living off Locke's coast. It's on one such occasion where he's going to visit Fluke and free this big bag full of lobsters he just got from the grocery store when he spots "Jovan."]

AHOY THERE!

[And now there's a big loud man with an armful of lobsters waving frantically at the doppelganger from across the street and being generally weird.]

[Hearing the voice startles him to the point that he nearly drops his bag. Slowly, though, he turns in its direction and spots Arthur. He doesn't really know what to do other than stand stiffly and wave back with a limited gesture, as if his shoulder and elbow have locked into place and all he can do is move his forearm and hand.]

H-hello there...

[Arthur's rapidly closing the distance between them. There will be no escape. At least, no easy escape. When he gets close enough, he will attempt a back-slapping bear hug, the horror.]

I haven't seen you in AGES, chum, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? I see you GOT OUT OF THAT MOUNTAIN!

The mount--oh, yes, I--yes. I did get out.

I've...you know, mostly been trying to reverse my death certificate and all. Moving back in with my dad.

Moving back in with your DAD? That sounds OUTRAGEOUS--it's always good to have FAMILY AROUND!

[Have a hearty, approving slap on the back, doppel-Jovan.]

But won't you miss THE EXCITEMENT OF VEGAS?

[The slap on the back sends him staggering a few steps, nearly dropping his bag until he stabilizes again. And just as soon as he thinks he's balanced again, the question practically sends him toppling over again.]

I--yes. Yeah, I will. I...I actually love Vegas. But I can't just leave my dad all alone here. I have obligations. I can't just do what I want.

Well, that's COMMENDABLE, son!

But you've still got to come VISIT sometime!

[He shakes his head, looking a little more miserable now.]

N-no, I...I have to enroll in school again. I won't have the time to go back.

What, you can't HAVE A LITTLE FUN while you're in school? It's not like it TAKES LONG to get to Vegas with that OUTRAGEOUS TELEPORTER!

I don't know, I--I like it a lot in Vegas. Too much. If I go back to Vegas, I'll just want to stay there and not come back here. Like last time.

Well, that's where HAVING FRIENDS TO HELP comes in! I can just DRAG YOU BACK TO LOCKE after you've COME TO HAVE FUN!

Are--are you serious?

Of COURSE I'm serious!

[At some point, a very distraught puppy curls up under the bench that Jovan is sitting on. She's been trying interact with Siiri like she would normally, but... but. It's not working, Siiri is being super weird, and she's not going to move from here.]

((would it be okay to have doppelSiiri hit on doppelJovan?))

[Jovan is stirred out of his books by the puppy and hesitates for a moment. Eventually, though, he decides to take the chance--he reaches down to gently, nervously, pet the dog.]((OOC: go for it!))

[Floweregg doesn't move for a bit but when she raises her head still isn't nearly as energetic as normal. Having your most important human be mean to you does do that.

Her tail wags once, twice after a while though.]

My mistress is behaving oddly.

[Jovan is not experienced with animals. He's never had a pet before, but he doesn't hate them on principle. So as long as they're fairly calm and quiet, he doesn't mind them. But as soon as they start moving, he freezes up a little and he can't figure out what any of it means.

Thank goodness this one talks.]

Oddly? ...How oddly?

She calls me names and tells me to go away and she tried to kick me when I didn't.

[This is the face of utter despair. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN WHAT DID SHE DO.]

She--your owner? Kicked you?

Yes, she-

[And at this point, a tall, gorgeous but rather lazily dressed woman with a huge grin on her face sits down next to Jovan and gets right up into his personal space, one arm around his shoulders.]

So she's started talking ta ya too, huh?
