[He hasn't had a long acquaintance with Emi. They only spoke once, and much of his knowledge of her is based on what he's seen in network backlogs. She does not do her own posts in text, and even when she's speaking though that medium, she never sounds so . . . uncertain. It's enough to know that something is wrong.

[Not that seeing Lily's post hadn't tipped him off, but she's kind of terrifying and he's not engaging that.]

[There's almost a skip in Nathan's step, a bright, unguarded smile on his face. And why shouldn't he be happy? He's finally going to start going out to see the world. What could be better? So many people to meet and chat with, so many fun things to do . . . Who wants to hide in a castle all day?

Oh, that's no fun. I used to do that all the time, and it sucked. Geez, nobody's gonna beat you up or anything. [No, Lily and the other Cures don't even occur to him. This version of Nathan doesn't think very well.]
