Since there are quite a few new faces on the network since I last checked it, I suppose it's time I made this announcement again.

My name is Dr. Aaron Strider. I run a clinic on Five Forks Road. It specializes in cases that are uninsured, unusual, or otherwise want no questions asked.

Oh, and one more thing.

[The camera pans to a plastic bin full of things. Among a pile of other knickknacks, clothing, etc. there is an eight-inch-across glass orb, half of a sword (the pointed end, not the hilt) and a letter.]

I don't see why not, so long as no one comes to claim it. I have no use for it, as it is far too heavy to be a viable paperweight.

Though if I find its true owner, I may ask for it back. Crystals that size, even of nonprecious stones, are quite valuable.

It is a charity clinic, yes. Donations cover most of the costs. Discounted fees cover the rest.

You can look it over in person, if you like. Nothing about Elves, but the word "Man" is written with a capital M. This may be a stretch, but what if it referred to race rather than gender? If there were more than one sentient race, human wouldn't be the default, and this Gandalf would have a reason to specify Man, rather than Elf.

Is it something to worry about if a person gets weak and dizzy after getting one of those pulse things if it goes away soon after?

I've had it happen two times, both times I gained some weird ability and both times it went away.

Everything connected to pulses and abilities is all but guesswork to me. That said, a physical from your GP might be a good idea to ensure there are no obvious problems. Have you experienced any other physical changes related to the pulses?
