[As someone who's been flipping through the network's entries and responding to a few of them throughout her stay, Regina can only suspect that there is something else beneath the surface, anything that explains all the strange occurrences at Locke City — a sinister expectation. It's either that, or she's too cautious for her own good, but the unknown is getting to her much more than she'd like to admit.

Which is why she turns on the feed, setting it to voice only, and begins to speak. This college-aged woman expects answers.]

Talk about an action-packed place. I sure missed a lot when I'm not suddenly remembering a huge stream of numbers. Now that's already pretty weird as it is.

[The wry, semi-amused tone is crystal clear, complete with a gruff feminine voice to go with it.]

Oh, and before anyone brings it up, I've already read the newcomer's guide and the basic network safety protocol. In fact, I've been skimming through some of the archives as much as I could when I'm not busy preparing for the MCATs, so I get the gist of what's going on more or less. Not sure who created the guide but whoever they are, they get my thanks.

[She'd flash a thumbs-up sign but this is an audio feed, so a brief sound of genuine gratitude will suffice before fading away.]

Now, I'm not even going to bother commenting on all the weird crap that I've heard and seen, like a talking horse, some mentions of furry monsters, and a guy with long nails, so I'll just cut straight to the chase.

[A faint snort commences for a moment, then Regina pauses as she takes on a curious tone afterwards, actually attempting to sound cordial. Guess who's making an impromptu survey?]

To anyone who can hear this message, can I ask you what it's like? Knowing about the network and hearing about these strange on-goings, I mean. How do you feel about this? Do you feel angry? Upset? Lost? Out of focus? Not sure if I should add happy to the list, but hell, there might be some crazies responding, so who knows?

As for myself— [A faint hum.] I feel like I should know everything I can, just because I'm so confused! Pretty crazy, huh? [There's a soft chuckle out of her lips.] Yeah, yeah, I know. But honestly, I'm interested in hearing what you guys have to say.

Heh. [Shawn's smile is wide and his brows lift. At the same time his chuckle was blatantly wry.]

First, I figured it'd be some fun times with junk gettin' shaken up.

'Stead I just gotta keep my head down or get my factorin' ass shot, which sure as 1 equals 1 ain't arithmetic when you're getting made over. [For the point, he raises an all-black hand, all the way up along the forearm, to push his sunglasses up onto his forehead and out of the way of his yellow eyes.]

If everything's the same crap over and over, it'd be pretty boring for sure, so I agree with you in that aspect.

[Regina is initially amused by Shawn's remark, although confused by the math chat as well, but the yellow eyes instantly catches her attention. Cue the surprised look on her face!]

Wow, are those contacts? I've never seen those before!

There are some things that are good about the network and some things that are bad about it. I like the friends I've made on here. I can do without the weird abilities, dizzy spells, and memories that make no sense.

Well, it's good that it allows you to communicate with people who are in the same situation as you are, so I can see that. Having friends around is nice, too...

[Even though Regina has very few of them in general. Though the last part catches her interest--]

Each time I've gained an ability it has been accompanied by weakness, either immediate or gradual. It passes in time making me think that it is just my body needing to adjust to the change, but definitely quite annoying and embarrassing.

Wow... sure sounds like it if you get weak each time you gained an ability. That's so screwed up! Sorry you had to go through that.

[His grin widens. Ever since he had gotten these eyes he'd been tickled pink by every single reaction by anyone who'd noticed them; at this point showing them off was, each time, a lungful of fresh air.]

Negative. 'S all eye, and it's all mine. And absolutely badass, huh?!

And that BITES. Case in point: a sonova digit can't even go around havin' rad eyes under threat of a sloppy busting.

Talk about freaky. To tell you the truth, I've seen someone else with weird eyes, but nothing like yours!

It's interesting to know that you could forget it all just by leaving. But I figure I shouldn't do that. lol, it's all kind of a clusterfuck, but there are some good people here. Welcome, if that's the word.

Ordinary. Nothing particularly remarkable has happened to me yet. Not that I'm complaining. But I'm concerned about what's going to happen when things become too obvious to ignore.

Not sure if I'd call monsters and getting strange memories "exciting", but whatever floats your boat. I agree that it's pretty huge, though.

Hah, definitely not something I've experienced before! She seemed okay enough, I guess.

I think I've read about it somewhere once! Forgetting about everything sounds kinda depressing to me, tbh... some of the people I've talked to seem nice, which is good.

It's nothing really exciting. I'm just curious to see how people experience something like this. So far, they all seem to hang in there.

That's pretty much what I'm feeling, too. No extra memories or any monster encounters like that. After hearing what others have been through, no way I'm complaining about that either.

Oh no, I didn't mean it like that! I was referring to a specific mood I'm in that may seem crazy to others. There's nothing wrong with wanting to know a lot, it's why I asked in the first place.
