There has been word to the numbered that at 9:00am on the 18th (CET), a bus will pick up any numbered willing to have a look at the strange tower-building at the border. It will stop at Hotel Reutte as well as the parking lot at the lower end of the Pöllatschlucht Gorge and then drive any that have boarded out to the Orbital Tower.

The bus will be let through the fences that military and police put up and stop just outside the white walls. There, the driver will tell everyone to get out, and they will be met by Monika Hallbach and David Graibiger and one military officer of each of the involved countries. After a short introduction round, they will then lead the numbered into the structure. It is a large storage room housing a farm complete with two fields, a small pond and a number of cows grazing placently. The farmer will invite them into his kitchen and around the table, and with water or juice or milk in front of them, a few things will be taken care of.

> The numbered are supplied with passes that allow them to roam freely inside the structure.
> The farmer tells them how she woke up one morning and found herself, her farm and some of her fields inside a large white room. She seems pretty calm about the whole thing, with a mentality that shit happens and you gotta deal with it. She just wants the numbered to make sure that the whole thing is safe so they'll let non-residents into the structure - she wants to rent out her bed and breakfast rooms again.
> The four officials impress on the numbered, with a main emphasis on Eugen, that this is German and Austrian territory, and it is those countries' laws that are relevant in the whole structure, because it belongs to them. It is also explained that
> Everyone is given a walkie-talkie so they can connect to each other and all people stationed within the structure.

They are then let to their own devices.

A note for the purpose of making the playing of stuff taking place after this log easier: There will be no violence in this log that is not initiated by numbered, and the only way for them to get themselves hurt will be echoes/their own stupidity/both.]

[Almost unconsciously, Lily's turning her Precure Seed end over end in her fingers.]

"Weird" doesn't quite cut it. We've seen weird, this is...

[Creepy? Yes, more than a little. She moves further towards the smell, eyes darting all about.]

No, seriously. Is there someone in here?

[There is no answer, but the voices become louder, and if they have memorized the sound, they'll hear that it is Geoff and Badri. Going down further will lead them down to an area that is at the outer hull off the station, and here two men sit at a table right in front of one of the large windows, a number of Happy Meals (upon very close inspection they're from various countries) sitting on the table between them.

They are arguing in a language not English and seem to not have noticed them yet.]

[Okay, well that's.. a new one. More than a little in fact - she holds out an arm to stop Winter's advance and makes herself as unseen and quiet as possible, saying nothing. She casts a glance back towards Winter to make sure the mirror she had been wearing to form a Network connection was still there and then turns her gaze back to what's going on. Down there.

Walking into an argument is rather rude, more so when you don't know what it's about, nor can you understand it or know what they might do.]

[Winter pauses as she's stopped by Lily; the sudden shift in tone doesn't go unnoticed, and she nods, glancing down at the mirror pinned on her jacket to make sure it's still "transmitting" before she turns her gaze to match Lily's.

Not that any of this makes sense. Kids meals in at least four languages she recognizes litter the table, and while she doesn't understand what they're saying, the aliens arguing is cause for concern. She'd never seen them like this... and as much as she wants to believe it'll be okay, as her mind automatically supplies, they can't both be right - this might not end well.

Leaning out over Lily's arm, but trying to stay hidden, Winter struggles to get a better view.]

[They suddenly pause, and then turn away from each other and the window towards the room, and Geoff smiles and opens his mouth to say something

-but is cut short by Badri, who now speaks English waves in the general direction of the rest of the room, clearly aware that someone else is there, and beams widely.]

This is the bit where we blow this place up with all of you in it. To aid our evil alien schemes!

You wouldn't dare. [Her blood runs cold; her self-preservation instinct overrides her good sense - namely, that they'll probably die too if exposed to the upper atmosphere, let alone to vacuum - and she reaches for Raquel automatically, slamming her Cure Loveads into the slot reflexively as he pops. When the light clears, Cure Diamond's standing there, and she doesn't look pleased.]

What are you doing up here, anyway? I thought it was just us up here, since the military escorted us... [That trust she'd had in them up to now had evaporated, in a very real way.]

[Mentally, Lily's brain lights on fire and there's a momentary panic. The light of transformation from Winter leads her instincts to do the same, however, although the first thing Cure Moonlight does is reach out and put a hand on Diamond's shoulder. Still, better safe than not - so, she feigns a quick, nervous laugh, more as a means of cover than anything else.]

Ah-heh, I'm sure this is all... a misunderstanding, right? We just wandered in here...

[Though acting nervous and playing the role of mediating, she mentally makes a checklist of how quickly she can do... any number of things, from summoning the Mirage to a hasty getaway, to a cheerful chat or an outright brawl.

Badri was impossible to read, and after speaking with Harry she wasn't sure they could try to do that with Geoff. On the first one, as well, Emil's warnings ring loud and clear in her head.]

[Badri's beaming smile widens at that, if that was even possible, while Geoff looks at them while reaching out for Badri, who evades the hand coming for him.

Instead, the dark-haired alien applauds their transformation, and when he is done declares happily:] That was a joke!

[For a second, Winter just stops. Had... had he seriously just done that as a joke? She'd overreacted? But then... ugh, these aliens were going to be the death of her, maybe even literally. Forcing a slight smile, she nods.]

Ha... I have to say, it was in poor taste. We're already nervous about this place, so when you said that, I admit I prepared for the worst. I don't know about you, but I don't think I'd survive exposure to the atmosphere at this altitude, to say nothing of falling to Earth from here.

[A pause, before her tone softens, and she adds:] Really, though. What are you doing up here?

[Lily's hand remains on Winter's shoulder, and if anyone can feel that her tension hasn't really lessened, it'll be her. Bad jokes aside, there's still something wholly unnerving about the situation. Her eyes dart briefly to Geoff reaching out for Badri, but then she focuses back on the one of them that's speaking. Still, she tries to smile softly.]

How are you up here, even? Germany and Austria only just let us in to explore it... had they let you in before then?

[bridgeburning]

[ Badri seems completely unaffected by the initial scolding. Possibly because he's not listening to it all that thoroughly - he's more concerned with making sure he's out of Geoff's reach. He makes sure the McDonald's-strewn table is firmly between them before giving the girls his attention once more. ]

We are doing weird alien things! And eating human fast food. I got extra toys in my Happy Meals if you want them.

[ He motions to the table, glancing at Geoff as he does so. His expression is very much like a child who is about to do something particularly naughty. ]

As for how we got in - we have lots of ways of getting into places without permission! Right, Geoffy?

[A small part of her mind is appalled that Badri is so... carefree. He's not even paying attention to them, really, and it annoys her... but she has to be better than that. So she sighs and shakes her head.] Those "weird alien things" are what I was worried about. And I don't need a toy, thank you.

[Geoff, though... she is interested in knowing how, and why, they're up here. Her gaze turns to him, and it's piercing. But she doesn't say anything else. There's no way she's going to let him weasel out of an answer.]

[Lily's eyes drift towards Geoff, too. The way Badri's trying to avoid him... Just which side of that argument was in the right, which was in the wrong? Was either? Was it something important, or petty? Mentally, her mind shifts suspicion towards Badri, because after all, Geoff seems so tru--

She blinks, Harry's words from a couple weeks before come colliding with that thought process, and she shifts her focus back to Badri.]

That's kind of a dangerous thing to be doing. This world has boundaries and laws that one has to abide by, you realize. Just trespassing without permission can... cause problems.

We meant no harm. [Shooting a last glance towards Badri before he relaxes his stance and fully turns towards the two young women.] This place being in space, is seemed natural for us to explore it, and when we learned that you had made it as well, we saw no point in leaving in a hurry and trying to hide our presence - it was only you specials, after all, and we trust you.

[peacefulwinter]

We want to explore, too. I admit, part of that is because it's in space, as you say. [More than a little bit; if it hadn't been for these two, it would have been an absolutely perfect little trip, in her mind.] But part of that is also because this has to be a pulse. This is... something beyond our world's technology, without question. So we had to find out what it was.

And while I understand you want to explore, and meant no harm, this place is a restricted area, pending our investigation and subsequent determination that it's safe. You don't have the... dubious honor of having another self as a guardian angel. Therefore, it's important to us - to me, especially - to make sure there are no undue hazards up here. Your being here complicates that, because if you're here, either we've completely misread what you are capable of, or else Germany and Austria are going to have a very embarrassed officer corps in short order.

[As Winter plays to a sense of logic, Lily spends the time she's speaking thinking. Observing their "visitors." When Geoff says he means them no harm, she finds herself believing it - yet the fact that she knows Badri could very well cause harm, and that was something hidden from everyone except Emil before he told them...

The two things conflict with each other in her head, though she keeps her expression impassive.]

I'm glad to hear you trust us, at least - but you have to understand that governments are a lot more touchy about "trust," so one has to kind of be careful about that.

We will make sure that nobody but you sees us leave, then. [Lily and Winter's words are clearly the source of his concerned face.] We do not want to cause conflict or get people into trouble.

...We'll go through more official channels in the future to not cause issues.

[His smile exudes sincere gratitude.] It's always good to hear from you about these things, thank you.
