43rd Howl | Full Moon [CLOSED]
Who: Randall/Randolph Lyall, Nick Burkhardt, and Hajime Aikawa
When: October 9, full moon night
Where: Lyall's house
What: First full moon since the strength change....
By now, with all the intentional changes he'd gone through, Lyall had at least learned to stop screaming when the full moon change hit him. He had some pride. But for the full moon changes, he no longer had any control over the noises he made by about halfway through the change, the human part of his mind gone. It made it easy for the people on the other side of the door to tell when he was done changing, at least, since the howling and crying turned into panting and slow recovering whines, as the last of his bones finally finished healing up.
Hajime and Nick had half an hour of peace before the wolf was healed up enough to register their scent, and the growls started. They had an hour after that before his full strength returned, and he started attacking the door: claws first, which had the effect of rattling the door violently and making a horrible scratching sound, louder than previous months' attempts. Then, when that didn't get the barrier out of the way, a sickening, deafening thud that shook the whole wall.
The door frame started to crack on the second hit.

And it doesn't take too long to figure out that worrying had been a good idea. Nick doesn't have his gun - he refuses to use it on Lyall, no matter what happens - or really any weapon aside from his blood. It'd worked before, he's figuring on it working again.
Nick glances over at Hajime. "You think we should just open the door and get it over with instead of waiting for him to break it down?"

The transformation belt materializes around his waist. He could take his insect form now, just to be ready for Lyall, but he knows that's a bad idea. His instincts might get the best of him, and he's got a different option...
Hajime pulls a playing card out from his pocket. It's a strange looking Ace of Hearts. "Just let me get ready." With that, he swiped the card down the middle of his belt buckle, and his form rippled and changed. He didn't take this armored form much, but he does remember his other self using it quite often to fight, and it feels comfortable enough. Not reassuringly big and bulky, true, but it didn't come with that unrelenting instinct to destroy everything. Right now, he'd take it.

Or doing a lot more damage here, but Nick has a feeling that they can't entirely escape that, now.
He moves for the door. "Counting it off. One - two -" And he yanks open the door, in lieu of saying three, throwing himself back at the same time.

Thankfully, he's also at just barely animal intelligence. They aren't dealing with cunning, here, just power and fury.
