Has anyone gotten one of those weird memories that wasn't in a language they knew?
Also, does anyone speak Japanese? I'm trying to write down a conversation from memory, but it's hard when it's not a language you know.

And kinda. They must have been speaking another language but I understood it so didn't really think of it at the time.

Sorry! I took some classes on it, but you're likely to find someone a little more fluent to be a bigger help.

[Text file sent! It contains a Japanese conversation as interpreted phonetically by someone who knows barely enough of the language to haltingly ask where the bathroom is, and thus is nigh incomprehensible. It MIGHT be about someone stealing something, or about books, but it's a crapshoot.]

I can speak a bit.
[Neglecting to share that it's his first language and that's pretty much all he exclusively speaks, but she doesn't need to know that.]

...actually, I'm not really sure if the language exists. It doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard.

...I'm also fluent in Japanese, if no one else has been able to help.

Best of luck to you in making sense out of things, at any rate.
