[Time for a phone selfie video! I hope you like this kinda-shaky view of Danny from the shoulders up as he sits on his bed.]

Okay, so I got asked to check out the new mountain that popped up in Vegas--see if anything's in there that we ought to know about. Well...the answer's no.

[The camera shakes for a moment and when it stabilizes, Danny has a hand pressed up against the side of his head and grimacing as though he's got a bad headache.]

The place is totally empty. I didn't find anything--except for a couple of old bodies, which, uh, ew. Anyway, I don't know how much that helps, but...there you go, I guess. If that matters to--[the video shifts and looks up at where the wall and ceiling of Danny's bedroom meet.]

Hang on, I don't--why am I--Ahh!!

[There's a dull thud noise, and then silence for a few moments. Danny's hand passes over the video a few times, trying to grasp at the phone but failing. When he talks, his voice suddenly sounds very far away.]

Okay, uhhh. Change of plans. Can somebody come over here and help me find myself?

Okay, okay, hang on--

[She might see Danny's headless body crawl off the bed and grab onto the wall, using it as a guide to walk around the room and back out of frame. Silence for about a minute and then, a yelp.]

Okay, uhhh...new problem: I didn't see myself coming and hit my head and now it's somewhere else. Even--even dustier! [achoo!]

[ dragging hands down her face ]

Oh God, Danny. Have... have you gotten any offers for help, yet...?

Yeah--yeah. Thankfully.

Karl said he's coming over to help me figure this out.

...I hope he gets here soon.

Okay! Good. Good, ah... I'd come over, but, well.

[ ahem ] We're already in Vegas, and even if we can come through Project Jump, it's probably good until we have a handle on what to do that we... limit ourselves in Locke all the same... [ She looks more than a little frustrated at that, but hopefully Danny's distracted enough seeking out his skull. ]

...Are--are you gonna stay there forever? Like, live there now?

[ She grimaces. ] No. That is not the plan. [ So far as she can figure, anyway, although she'd be hard pressed to lay out what "the plan" is right now. ] But we had to take action to protect our parents, at least immediately. They have us over a barrel there, and... Winter, Jasmine, and I are too easy to find for a lot of reasons. They'd be able to get to them, but...

We're not trying to leave things behind. We can still get back to Locke, and if we have to, I'm certain we'll be there. We've got to find a way to fix this - but first thing was first, really.

[a relieved sigh, barely audible with how far his head is from the phone he's connected to the network with.] Okay. Okay, good. Locke would be a lot lonelier--and a lot less well-protected--without you sticking around to help it out.

[A surprised blink, followed by a smile... which she realizes he can't see, so she gives a small laugh.] Thank you, Danny. I appreciate the sentiment, and... we're all in this together, right? Once we get a handle on how we're going to go about this, if you need us, all you have to do is ask.

Locke is still our city, and you're still my friend.

Right. Good--good to know.

...I'll just hold off on asking you guys to come back to Locke to help me find my head. I can probably get somebody else to help.

Heh, well... if all else fails, I don't think we're just going to let you wander around like the Headless Horseman, either. You said Karl was going to help though, right?

Yeah. I hope he gets here soon--the longer this goes on, the more likely my family is to find a decapitated superhero in their son's bedroom.

...I'm guessing you don't have a contingency for that little oddity, huh?

I wasn't expecting to need a contingency for being headless!
