From the news broadcasts it looks like some people are leaving anyway because of all the problems happening over there. That place is getting less safe by the day even without a dragon coming around to mess things up even more.

[Still, that's not nearly enough people out of harm's way...]

Yeah, some of us are. But leaving's a lot easier said than done. I don't know why the government isn't doing a full evacuation or something.

I mean, considering everything that's going on and what they already know from what happened in Locke, you'd think that they'd not want to take any chances here.

It's the government. I've lived in a lot of places over the last two decades, and the one thing they all had in common was that the governments spent a lot of time arguing about what to do when they needed to just make up their minds and take action.

It's a bit hard to not be cynical when crazy stuff like this keeps happening.

And... I'm trying to figure out a way to get us out of here. But well... that's a little bit easier said than done. I mean, I can just use the teleporter if I need to, but my family's another story.
