Because the dragon came after the dwarves in the old world, and that's our mountain.

[He's a little surprised, honestly; Killian didn't tell her about the quest? Granted they didn't have much detail, but they knew the general outline.]

No, I get that. Just why does it have to be a dragon. Why can't it be a phoenix or a minotaur. Anything else, but a dragon.

Don't know the answer to that one, but it's the hand we were dealt. If we have to deal with it again, we will.

Finding the door we used last time is off the table, we don't have the equipment we needed to locate it and open it. But Julien's got a couple of ideas, and we know there's some people on this Network with actual magic, so one of them might be able to just look inside and see.

It's kind of sad to say, but we do have more options here than we did in the old world.

There is that at least. Still I can't say I am a fan of everyone running off to the mountain-- at least until we know there isn't a dragon there.

Trust me, I'm not in favor of it either. [Considering that funeral pulse and all.] But it looks like it's gonna happen, so we've got to be as prepared for it as we can.

I don't feel the same compulsion that everyone else seems to have about that place. To me it is a pile of rocks... [Small shrug.] I have no real desire to go, but I'll help prepare for it.

You, Gabe, and Liam are elves, and the mountain is definitely a dwarf kingdom. Only makes sense that you wouldn't feel the same about it as the rest of us, but you know Killian's going to want you to come with us.
