Ah- Hello, Mister Lambert. How are you? [ He follows his gaze and attempts to sound as casual as possible, which is not at all. ]Er...I found this young lady today.

[Still asleep, Floweregg moves a bit, maybe hunting butterflies in her dreams. She's used to people talking over her head, her mistress and mommy do that a lot.]

Just Eugen will do. [ Nobody calls him Mister Lambert, not even his students back when he was a TA at the LCU, it's weird and besides, he's not really a "Mister" material.

He's honestly surprised and a little miffed to be called out for a lost puppy when he has other things to take care of, namely the cultists and his Gundam. But Eugen's love for animal sort of override his need to be annoyed so instead of telling Cecil outright to take her to the animal shelter, he sighs and lowers himself to look at the puppy. He hasn't realize the puppy is Floweregg yet since most puppies look alike. ] Is she not wearing a tag?

I cannot read it. It is one of those...modern tags. [He looks truly guilty for having disturbed Eugen, so he quickly shows him the tag without waking up the napping puppy.] The poor thing is exhausted, I think. I believe she has come from far away.

Ah... [ He never understands the point of these modern tags that obviously inconvenience Good Samaritan more than necessary. ] Well, in that case, I suppose we'll have to take her to animal shelter to get the chip... [ For some odd reason, the more he looks at the puppy, the more familiar she looks, until it clicks... ] Wait a minute... Excuse me! [ He gently raises the puppy's head up to look at her clearly. He can't be sure but for some reason, he's really thinks it's his favorite puppy. So, he tries to wake her up carefully to avoid startling her. ] Floweregg? You're Floweregg, right?

[The waking still startles her and for a moment she tries to jump to her feet and is about to bark, but then Eugen's voice registers and she starts wagging her tail instead, though still getting up in Cecil's lap to greet her friend] Eugen! I came to visit you! [All worries are forgotten (Cecil took care of her really well, so she wasn't acutely troubled anymore even before she fell asleep).]

[Well, look at that, the adorable puppy has woken up and is talking to Eugen.]

[Sorry, Floweregg and Eugen, Cecil has just tumbled off the bench and fainted on the grass.]

[Floweregg jumps when Cecil suddenly tumbles off the bench, angling for Eugen's arms in her panic and falling completely short, thus hitting the gorund hard and rolling a few inch until she hits his feet.

KAJSHDAS?????? WHAT IS GOING ON]

[ It all happens to fast and before he realized what's going on, Cecil has fallen off the bench and Floweregg is rolling on the ground! He blinks a few times, as if trying to register the reality of this actually happening before dashing over for Floweregg. Sorry, Cecil, Floweregg is more important than you. She's also a lot more fragile than full grown man and has a really scary looking owner. ]

Floweregg! Are you okay?! [ He stops right beside her, crouching down to wait for her to get up in case she injured herself, Eugen doesn't want to potentially worsen it. ] Are you hurt?

[First she's almost run over then the ground under her vanishes Cecil you should be glad that she's immortal and her little dog heart is thus a bit sturdier than that of a normal dog.

She is frozen for a moment, but then uncurls and gets shakily to her feet. Everything seems alright - she might have acquired some new bruises, but nothing is broken or otherwise seriously hurt, but there is something more important than greeting Eugen here.] What happened? Is Cecil okay?

[Cecil is still lying facedown in the grass, slowly recovering his consciousness. Wow, for a moment there, he thought the puppy was talking to Eugen. Oh wait, is she hurt? He rolls on his side, his hair and face covered with nature. This is most certainly not how he planned to spend his time off.]

...Is the puppy okay?

[How long has he been dead to the world? He hopes the poor thing has not been run over by a truck!]

[ Eugen is just glad that Floweregg isn't injured and carefully, try to pick her up so he can cradle her close. ] Come here, girl.

[ Who cares about Cecil? Not Eugen. He hasn't even thought of checking on him until Floweregg asked, upon which he turns to the mailman with an icy glare. ] She's fine. [ He didn't vocalize it but it's obvious he blames Cecil for Floweregg's accident. ]

[Floweregg won't protest being picked up, but arrange herself so that she can peer out at Cecil and check him over. Is he okay? He suddenly fell, something must be wrong - it was a bit like when her mistress looks at her mate and suddenly goes all funny, only worse.]

Why did you fall?

[He looks extremely guilty under Eugen's scrutiny. And he is about to apologize just like he was taught as a little Keller at boarding school, except that Floweregg speaks again. Oh my, he is not going to faint once more, is he?]

Eugen, I hate to impose further, but I-I think I'm hallucinating. The puppy is...talking to me. Could you please call emergency?

[He tried so hard, but it was all for nothing. It had to happen sooner or later. He is going bonkers just like the rest of his family.]

[ For someone who has access to the Network, Cecil sure is overreacting over a talking puppy when they have half birdman, talking bird and horses all these while. Rolling his eyes, he holds one hand to him while his other hand is still cradling Floweregg. ]

Oh, knock it off. She's a Numbered, like us. Her name is Floweregg.

I didn't know you were numbered, and my mistress said that I can't talk to people are not numbered. Because they might be bad people even if they seem nice, or they'll get weird.

It's good that you got weird here and not while you were standing, you could have hit your head really badly. [Concerned puppy is concerned.] ...You didn't hit your head, did you?

[Cecil takes Eugen's hand, still looking very apologetic. He would tell him that the puppy looked perfectly "normal" before, but he doesn't wish to offend Floweregg. She is too cute.

I apologize for frightening you, Floweregg. I promise I will not get weird again. [Probably.] Like Eugen said I-I am a reincarnate too. [He attempts once more to get a grip for the puppy's sake. He still dislikes admitting he is a numbered.]

Anyway, it is a pleasure to meet you.

[He might be offering to shake her paw. Dogs do that, right?]

[ Since he apologized, Eugen forgives him and instead focus on making sure Floweregg is comfortable in his arms. Once he's sure he secured the puppy well enough, his attention is back on Cecil again. ]

Are you alright?

[ Belatedly, he realized Floweregg should not be in Vegas. ] Floweregg, what are you doing in Vegas? Is Siiri here too?

It's okay, my mistress is weird sometimes, too, and she is very nice and her food is delicious.

[Shaking paw is totally not a dog thing, but she's used to humans doing human things with animals sometimes and due to being around humans so much has even picked up a few of their oddities. Though this is definitely the first time that she shakes hands with someone.

She'll address Eugen after having done her best to shake Cecil's hand.]

I came to visit you! And my mistress said that it is okay to visit you and that I can do it alone. [She's fairly sure that that only included Eugen's apartment, but. Shesh. Details.]

[Such a cute paw. He lets go of it and listens to the conversation between Floweregg and Eugen. He doubts her owner would let the puppy travel alone to Vegas, of all places, unless...]

Floweregg's explanation, however, is a different matter altogether because he's pretty sure it's dubious at best that Siiri would allow the puppy to come to Vegas on her own. ] Are you sure, Floweregg? Yes! It worked last time, after a while, and I thought it would happen again and this time I had would know that I'd get out eventually, but it was really fast.

[A good thing indeed! Though, oh no, the doggie crossed the weird portal on her own and he almost ran a truck over her. He would faint again, but that would just annoy Eugen and concern Floweregg even further.

So he just looks mildly alarmed and keeps petting her.]
