[Raye's been absent from school for the past couple of days and anybody who knows her usual haunts would have noticed she's been gone from them as well. As soon as she shows up on video the reason becomes apparent. She looks like somebody who lost a fight with a truck. There's a few day old fading bruises, scrapes and at least one bandaid on her cheek just under her left eye.]

Hey, so, uh, good news I figured out that shit with my superpowers so back to normal there. Bad news is I kinda broke part of the Dead District.

[She doesn't seem that worried about it though as she reaches over to retrieve... a lemon and takes a bite right out of it, skin and all, and chews away without giving a single fuck. This next part was the tough bit.]

Anyway, I'm back to full power and everything but I figure I could use some practice. So, if there's anybody out there who knows swordfighting and shit, let me know.

[She pauses for a second, like she wants to say something else to someone in particular then just makes a quiet noise and switches the video off.]

[ Look who's finally decided to emerge from the woodwork, after a quiet couple of weeks — and by quiet, we mean a raging mess of stress baking and shitty feelings about her brother no longer remembering anything. At first, she instinctively goes for the phone option. Believe her, she would just love to show off the spectacularly unimpressed look on her face, but she doesn't quite trust herself enough to keep it up.

[It's been even longer than that for Raye. She hasn't heard from Harper since that fight with the digital pet... thing, which brings up a new mess of emotions. On the one hand ugh, here comes the nag express, but on the other... she can't help but feel that she still owes her one from back then.]

Don't worry about what I did. The point is that crap from last time isn't gonna happen again.

I've got a sword and I know how to use it, but I can't exactly cut a city block in half or whatever bullshit you can do, so go easy on me if you want to try practicing.

I don't know anything about swordfighting or anything, but there's a fencing academy a few blocks away from my apartment. You should probably check them out.

[She takes down that number and address then sits back a little to consider her question, shrugging a bit.]
