[Closed] do you wanna
Who: Åsa and Abby
When: Sometime at the end of May/start of June
Where: A coffeeshop
What: Last minute revision!
Åsa was pretty sure that she'd learnt as much as Abby over these coffee shop revision sessions, but that was why she'd suggested that she help Abby go over what she'd been taught rather than teach her in the first place. It was much easier to hide behind Abby's books and test her on what she should know then try and teach her stuff that Åsa had such a vague grasp on herself. Besides, even when she remembered to bring her English dictionary, Åsa had struggled just a little. She'd not had much of a chance to practice this sort of English before!
But it was still fun to sit together over cups of coffee and Åsa enjoyed doing what she could to help Abby. It was nice to see the younger girl as well, to chat when they inevitably got distracted from the revision and to relax with someone who didn't look like she wanted to murder Åsa in her sleep (as much as Åsa adores Siiri, she really does glare like no one else).
With Abby's exams fast approaching, though, Åsa was determined to stay focused this time, so they could make the most of the time that they had. She'd already claimed a sofa with a table big enough for them to spread out all of Abby's notes on, and her own coffee was resting in front of her as she finished sending a text to Siiri. She looked up just in time to see Abby entering the shop and waved at her enthusiastically, so she could see the spot that she'd claimed for them. "Abby! Over here!"

Math had a different language system all together. If she didn't know it, then she was screwed. However, if she did know it, then she would do just fine. Although, the problem was knowing if she was right or not. So far, she had been getting so much help from so many people. Between her classmates and random people on the network, the young girl had no idea how to feel. All she knew was that she had to get an A in that class or else! She didn't want to disappoint people here!
So that was why for the past couple of weeks, the girl had been going to a certain coffee shop to look over some math problems for help. Luckily, it had been working! Once she heard a familiar voice, she walked over to the older woman and sat right next to her! "And hello right back! I hope that I didn't keep you waiting for long!"

And then, maybe, as cheeky as it is, she can get one more reply done for Siiri before she puts her phone away so she can focus on Abby.

Looks like she's really hyper today and why shouldn't she? She was hyped and ready for this final to be over with! She was so ready for it and tackle it! Nothing can stop her now!

That seems like a good plan and Åsa smiles brightly, nodding. "If you do well I'll buy us some cake as well, then!" She offers. Well, she likes buying things for people anyway, and she does normally get a second coffee at some point anyway, so why not provide some extra encouragement? Especially with the exams coming up so soon.
"What do we need to go through today, then?" She asks, reaching out for Abby's books so she can start looking for things to go through with her. "Are you starting to feel more confident with it all?"

That was enough to make the younger girl bounce up with glee. "And it will be awesome!" She shouted to the point where there were other people looking at the both of them. Once she noticed, she gave a nervous giggle before sitting back down. "Whoops, sorry about that..."
She mumbled before getting one of her books out. "Well, I think I'll do fine in English and writing. I guess it's the others that I'm not too sure about like math and social studies and all?"
no subject
"I'm sure you'll do well in all of them too." Åsa is quick to reassure Abby, petting her arm gently. "You just have to do your best and keep your focus! And try and remember what everyone's been teaching you. I'm sure you'll be fine." She really does believe it, too. After all, she's seen how much effort Abby's been putting in. Shame she didn't at the start of the year, but Åsa would never point that out. The more optimistic she's feeling the better she'll do.
"How long do we have until the actual exams? If there's still time you should try and do some practice papers. Can you get hold of practice papers?" She asks, thinking out loud as normal. "That should help your confidence!"

"About a month or so but hopefully that's enough time for me to cram as much information as I can before the finals." The keyword here was hopefully. While she should have started at the beginning of the year, she was never really the type of person who started early. That and between all the things going in Locke City, when did she have time to study anyway?
With a smile on her face, she started digging through whatever was left in her backpack. "Ta-dah! Of course I did, it was a good thing that Eugene told me to get them to practice or else I would have forgotten about them!" Not to mention some heavy sighing from him. Heavy heavy sighing from him.

Lets start off with something easy today, though." Once Abby's feeling more confident Åsa will try her on something harder. She swaps the papers for Abby's notes so she can flick through them to see what she covered this week.

With a small smile, she quickly started on the problem! As start as she tried to finish it, there was one part of the formula she was stuck on. Let's see...if the 2 goes over here, then where would the x be...?
no subject
"You're almost there. You can do it!" She encourages, as she follows the problem herself.

“Um...I think I’m stuck…”

“So we’ll just need to move and this and then this and then cross over the y?” Was she paying attention after all? Who knows. Algebra sucked really badly.

Or something like that, anyway. Who unleashed them on the poor innocent maths books again? "Try it out and see if it works!" If nothing else they can always work with trial and improvement until they get it.

“And there! I think I got it right! If I didn’t, then we’ll try the harder ones! The evil teachers who thought this was a funny idea are horrible people!” But did she get it right though?

Leaning over the book again, she hums, before picking out one that has more numbers in, and a shorter one that looks more complicated. "Here, I know that second one looks tough, but I bet you can do it! If you can get them done, then that'll be great!"
no subject
“Okay, so you do this x and then add in the 5 and then and in the other 6…” She mumbled to herself. Although unlike the last time, it seemed like she knew what she was doing. So far, she will be able to finish this in no time!
