Though I do object a bit to being called a "freak", I did indeed have to get accustomed to my new abilities. Some of the control came back with further pulses, but some had to be learned. For example, though I've always known what it's felt like to be forced to change into wolf form, doing it at will took a bit of effort and experimentation, and I still don't know how to change back.

I'm afraid so. Subject to going mad on the full moon, and all that, but I can do it on purpose and keep my mind. If you see a large, shaggy, tawny-colored dog wandering about the streets after dark, it's likely me.

Dawn always changes me back, so I just have to wait. I can only change if the sun is down.

I had zero control over my powers for a long time--they just happened randomly and I couldn't do anything about it.

I wish I got better through practice, but I think mostly it was just because I got more pulses that made me better at it.

Has anyone said that theythinks you protest too much yet? Either way, no big deal. I echoed back total knowledge of them first, but it took another couple echoes before I could actually use them at all. I'm still not at 100%. I'd say I'm closer to, like, 20%. And that was months ago.

What powers do you have?
