[So far, Emilia had only taken a few small forays into this strange network, and that was simply to either send her cousin messages or simply eavesdrop on other 'Seedlings' like herself, which happens to be easier to do on a computer. Frankly the whole thing sounded more than a little far fetched even now. Well, she's caught up in this whether she likes it or not.]

Good Evening, I am Emilia Stacojiu - The second 'i' in my first name is silent, thank you very much, and the 'j' in my last name is pronounced as 'v.' Don't make have to repeat myself. And I want no tired jokes that my name sounds like one a vampire would have. I've heard it all before, quite frankly, and it wasn't amusing the first time.

Now, I want to know everything about this network, and more importantly, what we are expected to be fighting, because this all sounds like something out of a terrible science fiction film.

[Emilia stands to her full height (which is 5'1") and puts her hands on her hips.]

Danièle. Who exactly told you this to begin with?

[She wraps her arms around herself and clams up at that point, refusing to look at Emilia at all. What a lie to be caught in..She also wraps her wings around her, almost protectivly.

She really doesn't want to tell the truth.]

[Emi, for her part, only starts to find herself getting more annoyed.]

Don't ignore me, I want to know the truth!

[Another firm shake of her head. She's starting to eye the door though. Either she's thinking about running off or something..but who really knew at this point.

She's still quiet, starting to shake a bit.]

[Emi was quick to calm down when she realized that Dani was about to cry, or at least that's what it looked like to the elder cousin.]

Dani...

[She slumped. Stubborn she may be, she didn't want to scare the girl.]

[She wants to tell her everything..Dani really does but..She's still scared. even with Emilia's promise, she had to wait and see. Besides, she couldn't just cling, it just pushed people way.]

I'm a big girl..I can take care of myself.

[Dani just barely mumbles that out. It was the only hint to what was going through her head.]

[Quietly, she heads over to the couch and sits down...]

I'm sorry I yelled... I just don't want to see you get hurt, or worse.

[It takes a moment, but she slowly pulls herself out of her defensive positioning and walks over to the couch, still hugging herself and sits beside Emilia. She's close but still keeping her distance, even if she really just wants to surrender to it all.]

I know..but I'm a big girl. I'll be okay on my-

[Whoops, cutting herself off. She didn't want to upset her cousin but..she was still hiding behind her fears.]

[Emilia wanted to simply hug her, tell her she shouldn't be so afraid, not with her around.]

You don't need to hide, Dani. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere.

[It's a moment as if she's just going to sit there..but then leans against Emilia lightly. She mumbles something in Japanese and closes her eyes.

I...I wanna believe...I really do

[That one little mumble caused more than a little surprise, and she looked at her cousin, confused. Since when could she speak Japanese? At least she thinks it was Japanese.]

Dani?

Yes Emilia?

[It would take a while for her to drop the full name but still..She doesn't open her eyes. She's honestly trying to calm down again.]

[Emi's voice was laced with curiosity. Her first guess that maybe she had a friend in Japantown, not that it was a result of an echo. In any case, in trying to calm Dani, she gently embraces her...]

I dunno..I just started talking in it and understanding it a bit after a while...Might have been something I got with a echo or something.

[Leaning in a bit more but still not opening her eyes. Her tenseness is slowly fading though!]

[Well, she's going to keep cuddling her until she feels better.]

[She's opening her eyes but making no move to leave the cuddle ]

Maybe we were friends..and things that others said didn't matter.

[That's perfectly fine, because Dani really needed this now, that was prefectly clear. Besides... It was kind of her fault.]

I hope so too. Friends can be temporary but family is forever right?

[Emi smiled too, though there was a little sadness, but it was only there for a second.]

Indeed they are. Pulses or no pulses, we'll always be family.

[She finally uncrosses her arms and gently hugs Emi gently. Dani didn't know much about friends but..she was trying.]

Always. Forever and ever...But..it's good to have friends too though.

My parents show no intention of leaving, perhaps it's stubbornness after we've put our roots into this city. [A part of her was afraid she'd have to move away regardless...]

[She's made it at least 2 years now, Even if she's still a bit afraid to try herself to talk with others.]

But you also have everyone on the network too! I'm sure they will want to be friends with everyone else!
