[So far, Emilia had only taken a few small forays into this strange network, and that was simply to either send her cousin messages or simply eavesdrop on other 'Seedlings' like herself, which happens to be easier to do on a computer. Frankly the whole thing sounded more than a little far fetched even now. Well, she's caught up in this whether she likes it or not.]

Good Evening, I am Emilia Stacojiu - The second 'i' in my first name is silent, thank you very much, and the 'j' in my last name is pronounced as 'v.' Don't make have to repeat myself. And I want no tired jokes that my name sounds like one a vampire would have. I've heard it all before, quite frankly, and it wasn't amusing the first time.

Now, I want to know everything about this network, and more importantly, what we are expected to be fighting, because this all sounds like something out of a terrible science fiction film.

It's Romanian. Apparently that's enough to attract bad jokes.

I heard of the giant snake and that business at that farm, but I never knew it was this bad.

There's an old FAQ with some of the big basics... But the short is, we're not entirely sure.

At first, it was an alien and his schemes. He was caught, though, and a few of his kind are around trying to fix things up. But there's more going down in Las Vegas.

Suppressed cough. Quickly feels over the edges of the paper to center it, looms in, speaks up dry and mild.]

[There's a small pause before she responds. She wasn't aware the changes could be quite so drastic.]

Er, yes. My cousin 'showed me the ropes' as it were.

I'm -- a... zombie. [The pausing wasn't as if it's a difficult thing to say, especially at this point - it still seems perhaps a little odd to say so matter-of-factly, especially to someone who's fresh to this, apparently. Coughs.]

Did -- ["Did you already hear", was how he was going to start, but he shifts.] There -- are some people like us, umm. Vampires. Werewolves, and -- other things...

Excuse me. [If he got ahead of himself and told her something she already caught.] Do you - do you have any more, erm, ss... specific -- questions...? About -- about things...

[Well, what else could she say? She was trying to be nice, so voicing her disgust wouldn't be productive. Her face says it all, though, but she doesn't exactly mean it since he seems polite enough.]

...Who might the vampires be?

[Her face would say it all to someone with eyes! If anything, 'least, that makes it a bit easier to keep on task. He pauses - and winces for a moment. Only upon realizing that he no longer does have any clue who he can refer to.

They went shopping. I told them I'd be fine on my own..but I got bored. I did leave them a not on the table so they know where I went.

I should be there in about 15 minutes though. The bus seems to be on time.

And what makes you think I intend to fight? I'll protect my family and perhaps the city, but beyond that I don't want to be involved.

I don't understand why people would get really into this whole thing anyway.

I suppose some people would think we're both being self-serving, that we'd be dragged into this whether we want it or not, but I could care less what they think of us.
